NHL Season 2018-19

i should have waited a few hours...Hakstol is officially fired, replaced by Scott Gordon on the interim. No word of Quenneville's imminent arrival though. Yet.
The way the new Flyers G.M. talked before the game, it sounded like Scott Gordon will be given serious consideration. He even said Gordon has the rest of this year to audition. But I'm sure if somebody they really like (such as Quenneville) is available, they'd make that move.

5th goalie Anthony Stolarz is out 3-4 weeks with a "lower body injury". So ready or not, Carter Hart got called up to the bigs. 20 years old. He looked pretty good. Made several nice saves, but didn't have a whole lot of work. The Flyers played better than usual in front of him, so that helped. And the kid got the win in his debut.
3-2 victory over the Red Wings...

Pettersson was a -1 in the game, but wow did he make a sweet save with about six minutes left. That saved the game, as did the post when Murray was beat glove side high (Vrana) earlier in the game and another shot that went through his legs (Kuznetsov). That could have been 4-2 Caps if not for the post and Pettersson.
Overall, that was a good game to watch tonight.

Love a game like that. Great play from both teams. Lotta fun to watch.

Brian Rust has answered the call, and then some, for more secondary scoring. Two more points for the Pens.
Guentzel to Rust on both goals, seems like that benching from Sullivan helped Guentzel. That first goal was more a mistake from Dubnyk, but Guentzel out worked Pateryn and faked out the rest of the Wild players with that feed to Rust for goal #2.
Now if Sullivan will stop pairing Pettersson with Johnson, they'll be even better. Johnson is dead weight

The 3rd period between the B's and Preds is going to be a barnburner. Score is 1-1 but the B's will be 5 on 3 for a minute plus. Laviolette called out his team in the 2nd for being soft, unfortunately while most of his team responded appropriately and started to play hard, a few started to play cheap.

Another game, two more points for the Pens. Five wins in the last six games.
Crosby, Rust, and Guentzel is a great line right now. It looks like maybe Sullivan has his touch back.
Secondary scoring continues to deliver, the defense is making plays, and Murray with the shutout.
Carolina came out strong, but the Pens defense tightened up and made Murray's night easier than it started out to be.

What is going on in Tampa? 9-0-1 in the last 10 and they are running away with the east.
