Lightning made the game a little more interesting than necessary.

I was glad to see the Flyers fight back to tie it at 5-5 after being down 5-2. But Giroux's turnover early in O/T screwed their chances for 2 points. But I can't fault Giroux for that. He's been playing some good hockey...

I was going to watch the Leafs at the Jackets last night but TCM had "A Hard Day's Night" on so I watched that instead. It turned out to be the better choice.

Three of the most beautiful words in hockey. As much as I marvel at the skill of scorers like Marchand, Krecji, Pastrnak and Bergeron, I love to see the 3rd and 4th line guys and the D-men score - more often than not it is the result of a lot of hard work and I like to see hard work get rewarded.

It's been a problem for some time in Pittsburgh as everyone skated around waiting for Crosby, Malkin, or Kessel to score some goals.
Seems to be resolved now, and now the Pens are winning games again. Funny how that works.
