Two more secondary goals (Simon and Letang) combined with a 33 save shutout from Matt Murray and the Pens have their longest winning streak since 2016, eight games.
This game was big, against one of the better western teams.
Oh, and look who's in first in the Metropolitan (at the moment anyway until we see what happens with the Caps in Dallas tonight. Go Stars!!). I know some of you jokers were enjoying seeing the Pens floundering around near the bottom of the division, not anymore.
I'm still digging the Pettersson trade. I love how he plays.

The post was Murray's friend tonight, that's for sure. I think I counted two Jet goals that instead hit the post.

Should be a beauty tonight...USA vs. Finland for the gold. That American goalie stood on his head yesterday to beat Russia. Got to give credit to the Swiss this year. They have only about 14,000 kids playing minor hockey, but are playing the Russians for the bronze! There are more kids playing just in Toronto than that!

Just heard about this thread today. Sabres fan checking in.

B's Sabres tonight...hopefully a good game. One of the best games I ever remember seeing (non playoffs) was these two sometime in the mid 90's...1-0 B's win but even if they lost I would still remember that game.

It's funny that an inept team like the 'Hawks are this year gets up for another, better team. That's 10 consecutive they've beat the Pens.(?)

B's just took a 3-0 lead on a power play goal that Jake DeBrusk chested into the goal off a high but not too hard shot from Bergeron. Worth watching the highlights, I have never seen anything like that before. His grin afterward was perfect.
