I would prefer they have their hot streak now instead of when the playoffs start...
B's are playing the Hurricane this afternoon at 5. Carolina will be wearing Hartford Whalers jerseys. The Whaler's logo is still one of the best in any sport.
When the Hartford Civic Center roof collapsed, they played their home games at the smaller, but better-roofed Springfield Civic Center near my hometown.

I'm glad Rutherford notices what I do about his Pens, and he called them out:

Pens & Red Wings tonight.
B's have Chara (MCL) and Miller (puck to the throat) back on defense tonight and DeBrusk (concussion) back at forward. McAvoy will be out with the common lower body injury (this one from blocking a shot in the last game.)

It's a Christmas season tradition up here, get TV audience almost as good as Stanley Cup playoffs.
Crosby to Malkin to Kessel who comes barreling down the center of the ice untouched and blasts a PP goal to put the Pens up 3-1 after two.

I wasn't much in the mood to watch hockey last night (doesn't happen often!) and after tuning in to the Pens/Wings game for a few minutes early in the second, saw the Wings were skating circles around the Pens so I didn't stick around. But very glad later when I checked my Score app and saw they'd won quite handily 5-2. Kessel a pair and Brassard also notched two. Maybe I shouldn't watch more often!
