I enjoy him calling the games. With Center Ice, I have the option to watch either team's feed, but there are a few that I specifically choose. He's one of them.

Similar to Mike Lange in the Pens' radio booth. He's been there since the mid-70s, when I first got into the sport. Funny thing is, as 8th & 9th graders, we'd make fun of all his goofy Lange-isms back then. It wasn't until many years later (after I'd moved away) that I realized how good he is and how original his schtick is/was. Kind of like Bob Prince of the Pirates...we rolled our eyes for years but then when he was replaced we missed the guy a lot. And there wasn't a bigger homer for the Pirates than Mr Prince!

I'm a Kings fan so the game was good for me. But you definitely missed a great game from Quick. If he played like that every game (regardless of what the defense in front of him was doing) they'd be in the playoff mix. His performance against the Pens was reminiscent of how he played during the Cup runs.

Well bummer. That version of Quick was so fun to watch. I really hope he can get on a nice run and return to that form.
I did see Kopitar scored the last goal, which I am glad for. He has always been one of my favorite players.

Wow. That's going back. Ted Darling was a tragic story. He died from some sort of degenerative brain condition. In his later years, he would wander local malls and walk up to strangers and introduce himself. "Hello, I'm Ted Darling with the Sabres."
RIP.

I thought that was a given. Heck the Caps announcers got Stanley Cup rings since they're part of the organization

Couldnt agree more...
Now Mike Lange is getting up there and rarely does road games anymore. The Pens stupidly took him off the tv broadcast so you can only hear him on the radio. Even when Im watching the game I listen to Mike and Phil Borque's play by play. It usually doesnt synch perfectly with the tv but I dont care, Mike wont be there forever so I want to enjoy him while I can.

I've done that with a few sports broadcasts. The radio feed is almost live, TV on a delay-varies with the sport. You hear it described and a few seconds later you see it. "Hey, He did it again!"

Same here in Toronto. Joe Bowen now strictly on the radio. He has called over 3000 Leaf games, and is always a great listen.

The Pens spent the better part of the early season the same way. The Caps are too good to keep playing that way. They'll snap out of it at some point.
Could just be some fatigue from the deep playoff run last year.

The Habs looked like they found their game last night - big difference from last time we played them. Bruins played OK and had plenty of chances but Price was sharp. At least the B's tied it late to get 1 point out of the deal. The OT goal looked more like a backhand tennis stroke - what is more impressive is that I think he got it with the shaft. But as the B's announcers often say, at the end of the game, they don't ask how they went in, rather they ask how many went in.
