Truth be told, some of those pundits were on the ice in the past...former players now in the broadcast game.

Flyers got past Boston 4-1. Got past Washington today 3-1. They'll play Tampa Bay Saturday. That means the Lightning will be the #1 seed and the Flyers will be #2. They always struggle against Florida teams...
I'm liking the coaching and the bench. Just that little nudge seems to be the difference last year to this one.
My guess is that the Panthers will be home with family by Friday night. Oh, well, wait'll next year.....Or the year after...........Or the one after that.
Ok @Jeff K and @Funky Ghost, y'all know how much it pains me to say this, but your team is looking very good right now. Solid goaltending (how long has it been since anyone's said that about the Flyers? ), and the forward lines are really clicking. Could this be yet another of Alain Vigneault's early magic? Seems whenever he takes over a team they gel quickly and get to the Finals in the first or second season under his reign. Unfortunately (for him) his teams also seem to flame out very quickly afterwards. We'll see if history repeats itself here.

Yup, you just knew it, up 3-0 going into third period of a playoff game, starting off with a power play, what could possibly go wrong? Golf Leafs Golf!
One thing I do really like (besides the job Vigneault is doing) is that while the "big names" like Giroux, Vorachek, van Riemsdyk, etc. have been quiet, the bottom 3 lines have really stepped it up. dwm, you're right about Vigneault "getting there" but not finishing by clinching the Cup. I was thinking the same thing the last few days. But nevertheless, it's good to see them playing well right now. Will it last? Well, the odds are against them; but it sure would be nice. I've been waiting since 1975...

As a kid I remember the 74 cup. I went to a finals game as a kid and got to see my favorite players - Dave, Clarke and the killer B's in the net. As an adult, I know I was lucky to see Orr play live, but back then ... *shrug*. I wanted The Hammer to bust him up. ( Even though Schultz seemed to lose more than he won!
