NHL Season 2019-20

I would like to quote Richard Matvichuk from the early years in Dallas. They were headed into a fifth overtime, at about 2am. A reporter asked him, "Do you STILL like overtime?"
He said: "I LOVE OVERTIME"
My team lost tonight, but that TampaBay -Columbus game was Fantastic!
I wish they would get rid of three man overtime and shootouts in regular season games. 'Cause, I Love Overtime.
I'd rather see the Stars win than the Flames.

At the end of the Calgary-Dallas game, they mentioned that game started two-and-a-half hours after the Columbus-TB game started, which was still going on. And on...and on...

Gotta give props to both of those teams...not once did I see a player taking a shift off or playing with any less intensity in Period 8 than in Period 1. True grit, and hearts of a warrior throughout. That's hockey players for ya.

Flyers looked sharp in the 1st period. After that? Not so much. Not BAD. Just not impressive. With the exception of Carter Hart. HE was impressive. As was Carey Price in a losing effort. 2-1 Flyers.

Montreal's only goal came on a power play which tied it at 1-1 in the 2nd period. But Scott Laughton scored 15 seconds after the Montreal goal to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead which stood up.

The dam holding Colorado out of the net finally broke, the Avs banged 3 goals in 2 minutes after 35 shots
Uggghh! Turned on the game late in the third and saw it was 0-0, thinking "good job, Coyotes"! However, mere seconds after tuning in, it was 2-0, and then 3-0! WTH?!? Next time I'm not even gonna turn on the TV! :rollno:

Although I'm pulling for Colorado out of the West (and to win the Cup), I still have to maintain loyalty to the Yotes while they're still alive, even though I really don't think they have a chance at slowing down MacKinnon and company.

Lulled in the 1st ... PTSD treatment from then on. Shades of past let downs danced in my minds eye. Thankfully they held on ( barely! ) for a win.

Oy.

It seemed like the strategy once they got that second goal wasn't play to win.. it was play not to lose.

Risky business in the post season.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The only thing that gave me hope was the play of Hart. I was hoping he'd cover up the lack of fire from the rest of the team.

I worry about the mentality of "we're told the -Yotes don't belong"

That seems to be when teams phone it in
