NHL Season 2019-20

Young Mr. Hart, welcome to Canadian hockey . . . yowie!

Getting beat sucks. Getting goose-egged 5-0 just makes you wonder what the hell happened to the Flyers focus... and hell, their pride! No excuse for that one.

Glad to read Claude Julien was released from the hospital. I hope he recovers fully.
I recorded it, but never got a chance to watch it. Finally tonight I watched the 1st period and about 5 minutes of the 2nd. All Montreal.

I had a feeling that they'd come out inspired because of Claude Julien. They sure did.

One thing that I liked about the Flyers during the regular season was that when they were behind in a game, they never felt like they were out of it. A loss like this might inspire them to suck it up and play better, or else it will just suck the life OUT of them. I guess we'll see on Sunday. This is when a guy like Kevin Hayes can be a big help to the youngsters in the locker room.

Games are really early or really late. Sunday August 16
Capitals & Islanders 12 Noon E
Stars & Flames 2pm E
Flyers & Canadiens 8pm E
Blues & Canucks 10:20 pm E

The good news (for Flyers fans) is that Carter Hart pitched a shutout after getting pulled in game two. The bad news is that the Flyers offense has gone missing. Voracek scored about 5 minutes into the 1st period, and that's how it ended: 1-0.

Additionally, the Flyers power play has also gone dormant. I think they've scored 1 goal in 25 or 26 power plays this postseason. This would be a nice time for the offense and the power play to spring to life...

Chicago stayed alive by beating Vegas 3 to 1. The Hawks first goal was a fluke that bounced off the side of the goalie's head. The 3rd was an empty netter.

Now they need to win only three more games in a row to move on to the next round.
:D

Realistically, the Hawks should have lost this game in a blowout but Crawford put on a magic show with the goal crease as his stage.

I wasted my Sunday today. Had a bunch of work I should have gotten done but watched hockey all day instead.

Oh well.
