I know what you mean, but I played goalie in amateur leagues and it's always 10x worse to let in a soft goal.
If the opposing team scores because of a 2 on 1 with great passing and a quick wrist shot in the upper corner, then no one blames the goalie for not stopping it. In fact, if you do come up with a brilliant save, then everyone on the ice notices and thinks the sun shines out your backside.
But let in a dribbler from the corner through the 5 hole because you weren't anticipating the shot, and you look like a jackass.
