NHL Season 2021-22

Congrats to the AVS fans. I think this season was the most entertaining playoff season to watch in a while.
I might have preferred a different result, but Colorado earned it and I think enough time has passed that an ex Michigander Wings fan can be happy for them.
Congrats Avs. They played just enuff better than The Lightning. You'll forgive me for not watching y'all 'skate the cup'.
I'm not familiar with Denver geography, but I'll bet ya don't have a boat parade.

I can't help but wonder what Claude Giroux is thinking tonight. He left the Flyers because he wanted a chance at a Cup before his career is over. Originally, he listed several teams he would agree to go to. (He had a no-trade clause in his contract.) The two at the top of his list were the Avs and the Panthers.

The Avs reportedly offered a better trade package to the Flyers (although I don't know if that's true or not), but by then Giroux had changed his mind. He now would agree to go ONLY to the Panthers.

I've always liked Giroux a lot (and still do). But I felt like he was doing the Flyers (and even himself) a disservice by agreeing ONLY to go to Florida. It definitely affected Philadelphia's bargaining position. But that was his right, so that's fine. But still, I would think he has to be sitting there tonight wondering, "What if...??"

Sorry for the derail. Congrats to the Avalanche on a fantastic season. And major kudos to the Lightning as well for another excellent season and a hard-fought Cup Finals!

I suspect if Giroux was to 'moon' us, we'd see self-inflicted boot prints.;)

There's a Wings connection. Helm grabbed another cup.

Congrats to Avs fans. Strange non icing call. Not the best performance by the refs.

If you mean the non icing call in the final minute, i think that was the correct non call.

The TB player could have gotten to that before it crossed the line, but he was clearly stalling in hope of forcing the icing call.

If the defense lolligags down the ice like that instead of hustling back to touch the puck, they'll wave off icing every time.

Although I was pulling for the Avs, the Lightning showed their tenacity over these last couple games. This series really could have been a lucky bounce here and there from having a different outcome. Great Final.

Loved Landeskog's answer when asked what the other teams in the league need to do to copy the Avs success...he said, "Find another Cale Makar." :D

Gotta agree that this year's playoffs were definitely some of the most entertaining games in recent memory.

Now comes the draft and free agency. Pens better get Letang and Malkin back in the fold.

So glad to see an Ex-Nordique cup !!!!!

From the bottom of the standings to the cup in 5 years , that gives me hope for the Sens !
( and knowing that the Sens ex Owner isn't anymore)

I finally got a prediction right , like a lot of people
