Wow..didn't know about that side effect....
VFK totally dominated the Habs tonight. The final score was 4 to 1 but it would have been more lopsided without Price playing so well in goal.
Vegas consistently maintained a brick wall at center ice that prevented Montreal from bringing the puck into the offensive zone with any control. If the Habs are to win any games in this series, they'll need to figure out a strategy for getting around this - because they can't get through it.

Its disgusting how blatantly the league wants Vegas to win. Really? Chris Lee reffing?? Only 4 teams left, but they pick the worst ref in the league for Montreal. What a coincidence!!
Why don't they just bring guns on to the ice and shoot the Habs? The refs sure wouldn't notice.
Penalties 8-2 for Vegas in the last 2 games and they are playing really dirty. Apparently, cross checking and high sticking are allowed.
Montreal is showing great discipline.

Yeah, I'm very conflicted in this one. I dislike the Habs for all sorts of reasons, and I could never imagine rooting for them...
But I also think Las Vegas is an absolute armpit of a place, and I could never imagine rooting for them either.
Add in the Lightning (I dislike the State of Florida too, but more cordially than Vegas), and really the only outcome I would love to see is an Islanders win. Against the Canadiens in the Final, I think. So... I guess I'm rooting for the Habs after all. Against VGK. I'd never have thought it.

If Vegas does pull off a series win, I won't watch a single game of the finals for the first time in my life. The league is turning into a joke with the safety crap and biased officiating.
Also, I know there are a lot of Hab haters out there, but, man, these kids are so good and fun to watch with Grandpa Perry leading the way I bet there will be a few converts.

My daughter sent this to me. I post it with my only comment being we're Lightning fans. No hate here.
I have said it before, and I still believe it...while that team will only go as far as Price will take them, they deserve a lot of credit. They have bought into the coaching system, forecheck relentlessly, defend strongly, and are no fun to play against. And some of those young speedsters can really put the puck in the net. A dangerous team...and I say this as someone whose 2 favorite teams are the Leafs and whoever is playing the Habs.
I get not liking-even hating-a team, but whoever's in the finals, I'll watch. After those(up to)7 games, there's NO hockey 'til October-ish.
As for the Habs haters, I think there are more true hockey fans who appreciate a good team and good games.
I grew up a Habs fan and its in the blood. We grew up "hating" the leafs. But at the same time, we do appreciate the rivalry.
It was absolutely awful what happened to John Tavares and I would never wish for something bad to happen to any NHL player.
However, I do wish Chris Lee would snap his leg in three places and Gary Buttman would spontaneously combust.

I've watched as much of the series as any Leaf fan can stomach! No Price, no Habs win. There, I said it! LOL

Egg-zackly. They have some good-and young-players, but these games are the first I've really seen Price in action (not a lotta Habs coverage in FL). He's amazing.
Knights 'D' can't seem to get in front of Price for nuthin'. I gots a feelin' MTL gonna win the series.
And I have a gig during game 7.
