NHL Season 2022-23

Interesting game last night. New guys looked real good, think they will both be a good fit. Seems real weird to see more Leaf jerseys at an away game than you see in Toronto! But then, for the price of a pair of home tickets, you can easily pay for the whole road trip including hotel stay in Buffalo. And maybe have a bit left for a stop at Fallsview Casino on the way home.

I posted a few pages ago about my Avs just not being near as good as last year. A few posters told me to just hang on and they'd come around. Well, they're pretty much healthy now and they're better but not nearly as dominant as last season. I'm hoping for a miracle repeat but I'm not holding my breath.

Hard to win one; much harder to repeat.

Good lord that was a beat down. It was already 6-1 when I got home last night so I didn't even bother to turn it on.
Yeah, saw the Live Look-In on NHL Network and they showed the first minute or so, and saw Letang's goal to put the Pens up by one early. Great, maybe they are fired up tonight!

Well, Letang ends up scoring another one late in the game, but not before the Oilers blasted 7 straight through the sieve known as the Penguins defense and goaltenders. Jarry is obviously not 100%. Looking dismal for us Pens fans. :crying:

Yeah Jarry giving up 6 is concerning. I was pumped he was coming back, the first game ok, not horrible but obviously a loss. Figured he'd get into form. Yikes.

Seattle-Boston was worth staying awake for. Kraken scored on their first rush and it went back and forth all night. No team went up by 2 and 4 times after one team scored the other scored within 1 1/2 minutes. DeBrusk's game winning redirect was insane.

The final was 6-5, but I don't recall any soft goals just lasers and tips and burying rebounds.

Those west coast games are so tough. I miss almost all of them. I just can't stay up that late anymore.

Fortunately, the B's game in Vancouver was a 7:00 EST start. The two guys that they got from the Caps played - D-man Orlov and RW Hathaway. Neither figured in the scoring but they looked good and added a heavy presence to the 3rd D pair and 4th line.

The big highlight was Ullmark's empty-netter: the first in Bruins history and his first at any level of play. Be sure to find the highlights, he sailed it 90 feet in the air and it was dead center in the goal.

That was an awesome shot
Maybe Some good came from the all star game skills comp. Lol.
They showed the replay on the Wings Broadcast.
There had to be some of entertainment for the Wings fans after Vasilevsky's performance for the Lightning.
I live in the Panthers broadcast territory, but I'm more of a Lightning fan. Luckily-for me-NHL Network carried the 3rd period of the TB/Wings game. Right after seeing Ullmark's goal. Helluva shot.

Classless move by Miller. Unreal.

I have no use for Tarasenko. I would trade him. I really would. And all the rumors about Kane just shows Drury has no clue. Scoring isnt the problem. Defense is. Apparently the obvious eludes him.
