Tarasenko to Florida, Mantha to VGK, and Henrique to Edmonton. If Dubas is going to move Guentzel he'd better not wait too long...half of the interested teams have already made other deals.

Fair bit of trout in that Marchand guy.
Well, the Bruins should be buying the ref's dinner for that call in the 1st, giving Boston a full two minute 5 on 3. Oh, and don't forget the cheap shot Marchand on Knies when he buried his shoulder into the kids head... no penalty! The nose that skates like a man has some comeuppance heading his way!

With their recent acquisitions, Florida seems to be pretty serious 'bout taking another run at The Cup. Now, I'm prolly a little older-78-than many of you, so before I'm sent to the eternal sin-bin, I'd like to see then win it.
As of January Canadians make up approximately 41% of the NHL. The lowest number ever. They are still the single largest group.I don't think there are too many hockey fans who don't recognize Marchand's superstarstar level skills.
But it is hard to overlook his extensive history of dirty play and selfish behavior. I'm willing to give him credit for at least attempting to reign in some of his obnoxious behavior in his autumn years, but that doesn't mean he deserves to have his past antics forgiven and forgotten.
This is hockey - not football, baseball, or basketball, and the vast majority of NHL players are Canadians. These are people who apologize for hurting your hand when you punch them in the nose.
"The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming"-for those old enuff to remember that movie. As of January Canadians make up approximately 41% of the NHL. The lowest number ever. They are still the single largest group.
They went in '96, but the Avs knocked them out. They were pretty good before the acquisitions.
I didn't realize that the Panthers have been in the league for 29.8 years - that is a loooooong time without a Cup. They are one of only six Original 26 teams without one. If it can't be my B's, I'd be OK with the Panthers.
Lol. I am and I do but the second largest group is American born players at, IIRC, 29%."The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming"-for those old enuff to remember that movie.

When the rest of the league hears it only costs $5,000.00 to cross check Brad Marchand in the face...

Having gone 0-3 and outscored 15-1 since the Guentzel trade, it appears the entire squad has thrown in the towel. What a waste of a great season by Sid. Yeah, some players are still playing with intensity, but too many are just coasting and going through the motions.Looks like Pittsburgh is throwing in the towel on the season. If they have any sense, they'll get whatever they can for Malkin today.
There's gotta be a sucker GM out there that thinks he's the guy to bring back the Malkin from the 90's.
