NHL Season 2024-25

Well, Stars are done. Rooting for Edmonton to bring the cup back to Canada.
NHL is giving us five days of no hockey until Wednesday's opener of the Final. And if the series goes to seven games, it will be on June 20th.
Yeah, the Four Nations break extended things a bit this season, but it does seem like it's getting later and later every year.

The silver lining is that hopefully each team will go into the Cup Final well rested and ready to give the fans an exciting hockey experience. But the more selfish and impatient side of me would really prefer to see the league move the schedule up and start the Final tomorrow night

Brock Nelson who was expected to move on, signed for 3x 7.5per
Necas who came over in the beleaguered Rantanen trade is suggesting he doesn't want to be here

Finals seem to be off to quite a start.
Quite the game. Hope we get a few more like that!
Thought Bennett's first goal was nonsense. Draisaitl reminds me of Mario Lemieux. Appears to skate around effortlessly.
I only got to watch the first period last night, though I tuned in a few minutes late so I missed Draisaitl's first goal 
The penalties and that silly challenge of Florida's first goal negatively affected the flow of the game IMHO. It seemed like everybody had some nerves for Game #1 of the Cup Final. I hope the rest of the game was a better watch. I'm glad Edmonton won it in the end, and I'm looking forward to watching more of Game #2 on Friday night!

Same reaction here...would have placed my bet that Nelson was on his way to Minnesota as a UFA.
Necas...don't know what this guy's problem is. He bitched about ice time in Carolina, but seemed to gel in Colorado after the trade. Evidently something else is ruining his fun in Denver.
In other news, the Penguins hire Dan Muse as their next head coach. Or sacrificial lamb. Muse was way down on the list of potential Sullivan replacement candidates, but something clicked and now he's the guy. He does have five years experience as an NHL assistant, with Laviolette, in both Nashville and NYR.
