Canada, Eh!
I think this is a beautiful piece of bass guitar art.

Ritter Jens Ritter R8-Singlecut Carbon Concept Bass Guitar | Cosmo Music - The Musical Instrument Superstore | Reverb

But I believe that's nearly a 100% markup - interesting to see if the market supports that... :eyebrow:

That red and blue one exactly is on my art bass hit list ( a short-scale fretted version! )... I emailed Jens about getting one last summer and he said he could fit it into a 2-3 month build time! and the price was a very reasonable USD 6K or so. I was really close to making that purchase when the whole 'marriage - move across country - buy new house" thing came forward and pushed it to the back burner. I hope to get one someday in the not-too-terribly-distant-future, when funds permit :woot:

Isn’t that what they cost?
I just checked my notes, last year I was quoted about 9K Canadian (USD 7800) for that red/blue Concept above (4-string short-scale fretted version, otherwise identical). (8Kus, not 6K, but still...) For that carbon-wrapped wooden set-neck fretless to cost more than USD10K would be a stretch, I am pretty sure...

me too! it's beautiful!

 ..."market" might be a stretch, but i'm sure there are a couple of people goofy enough to pay that much for an EB.

OTOH: if it only weighs 3 oz. = i'm in! :bassist:

Ritter is my #1 dream bass. Went to Chicago this past weekend with hopes of playing one at CME, but it sold the day before. By most accounts, they are the most comfortable/ergonomic basses you can buy. I love the look!
