How would you set this up:
Bass, Noble, Compressor, Aguilar Th-500?
Jack recommends 1/4” out on the Noble output into the effects return on Th-500. Not sure where the compressor should go in line. Also preferred way to power? 20 years in & still new to pedals. Thanks!

I'm curious - has anyone here been using the Noble with heavier tones/distortions?
Curious about how the tubes and warmth would handle something like a B7K/X7/Alpha Omega running in front of it.
Do you recall roughly how many times you've had to replace the tubes in your unit? I know it varies from person to person based on how often and for how long it's used, but I'm just curious and looking for a rough benchmark estimate.Mine has been on my pedalboard, and has seen a lot of gigs, since I got it in early Dec 2015 (#134). I also take very good care of my gear, and it looks brand new.

I'm going to pull the trigger on getting one and wondering if I should go ahead and order some replacement tubes while I'm at it. Thanks.
Hmmmm.. While I see the appeal to this, I don’t recommend it if you use the DG stuff as an always on pre before the Noble. You would get a bit of tube warmth but the baked in tone of DG stuff would definitely overpower the Noble sound. I think the Noble shines better for cleaner tone.
If you use the DG stuff as a on/off pedal, then I don’t see why it wouldn’t be good.

Excellent, thanks! Now the ~12 week wait begins.I'm still on the original tubes. I'm pretty sensitive to tube microphonics, and none are evident. Never been dropped, or banged. Always on my pedalboard or in a padded Pelican case.

Where would be the best place to get a couple replacement tubes. Just looking there are several options like low noise and gold pins. What should I get from those who have the Noble?
You can get them from Noble: Extras : Noble Amplifier Company
You need ECC82/12AU7 tubes.
If you really want to go down the tube rolling rabbit trail, read this: 12AU7 Tubes in Stock
Note: I doubt you would notice much difference between stock JJ's and NOS/vintage tubes in the Noble.

Honestly though, while it is possible for a tube to fail it is highly unlikely that your new Noble will have an issue with the tubes for many years.
