Here is another pic of the rig showing the Noble and a five string I keep around...

Thanks for he kind words :) I'll be sure try that configuration out. Unfortunately, my remaining August gigs had to be cancelled :bored: on account of a work conflict the guitarist had. 2 in Sept still. I've tried my setup going direct into the power section on my Genzler, and also into my Crown MicroTech 600 in bridged mono. The Noble seems to like any power amp, and pairs so well with the Baers.
Your guitarists needs a sub!o_O
FWIW I also have used the Noble through many different power sections, too, always with excellent results as far as the Noble is concerned. Set it and forget it Tone for days given a decent amp and speakers(using the same settings for several months now), sound guys love it, and it has been noiseless in all my experiences with it(maybe 50 shows? lots of flyways). The Noble truly sets the bar in all rigs I play through now.

Unfortunately, he also owns the PA, sings half our songs, and is married to our 'chick' (her term) singer... Oh well!!!

Well, ordered a Noble head unit. Jack is gonna put it in the original size casing, like his guitar amp. Can't wait!

Wait. What? Small box like a Demeter?!?!?! I actually thought about suggesting a small box to Jack but figured it would be a problem to change/differ. Never thought about the guitar amp box.

Anybody know what power module is used in the head?

Not sure if I've posted this yet, but my Noble ain't going nowhere... ever
Oh, and a Line 6 G30 tucked underneath.

Gonna have to go back to my PT Mini in the near future though... adding some effects for church..
So far, EQD Dispatch Master, and MXR BOD.
Debating a Blueberry FX BBBOD, Solid Gold FX Beta, or Darkglass VMT and a chorus, just not sure which.

Originally it was gonna be in the guitar amp size, but he went bigger. Not sure what power module he's using, but his pre works well with anything. Talked to a few people that owns one and they are loving them. This will be my last big splurge on a piece of equipment. Might as well do it right and get what I want.

Cool. PLEASE post pictures when you get it. That amp in the smaller size is very attractive though I'm a little unsure about the lite EQ section in a head context. It's perfect for a DI but very minimalist for a head.

I just noticed you are selling a Demeter 800 head. Why? I presume the Noble will replace it. I love my Noble DI but actually have been looking at the Demeter head...partly for the smaller form factor and partly for more control than the Noble head would have. Of course either way I would probably use my parametric EQ pedal and have 4 band EQ on my basses, but it's still nice to have some options on the amp. I guess I'm just a control freak - I like having the knobs even though they spend a lot of time at noon. :)

You still have the Sad knobs on there?!

BTW I finally found the original ones that I had misplaced. In the center compartment of my pickup truck...

One common thing I notice with almost every pic I've seen of a Noble on a pedal board or on top of an amp, is the low cut is engaged. At first this seemed counter intuitive to me, but it not only cleans up a mix, but helps the bass cut through on stage so much better IMO.

I only high pass if I'm playing live with a lot of Subs in front. That is when it really delivers. For studio, you can do it if you boost the bass up, but I personally like just boosting the bass and treble a hair and not high passing when tracking. It is a somewhat aggressive, so you really need to commit to that sound in studio.

I have similar set up. Do you like the octave before the compression?

I do opposite. Ill have to post my new board as it is pretty complete now. I'm running a Pigtronix compressor which has a blend and it's pretty much always on and dialed in just to lengthen the tail of the note. The reason I like it before the Octave pedal is it feeds a more even signal into it (OC-2) and as a result the pedal is less glitchy.
