Nein on the SVT. I'm pretty much retired from gigging now but a 112 was plenty for virtually everything indoors or out for the last 15 years. The one I've kept is an AudioKinesis TC112AF.

Another AudioKinesis fan here, also sporting a Thunderchild 112AF...

All frequencies present and accounted for, plenty of headroom with a 500w head.

AudioKinesis 1533 Changeling. I sometimes still use a GenzBenz 9.2 into a 6.2 1-12 Shuttle cabinet for smaller stuff, but this 1533 is really doing it for me. I'm pretty convinced that a 4-ohm 1-15 is the JAM. Not much larger than a 1-12, but way more projection and fast, yet phat oomph. Think tuba, with an attitude problem!

I have a custom 212 a member here on TalkBass made. Had the cabinet for a couple years and hadn't used it for a gig. Finally brought it out this summer and it sounded better than any of my other cabs ever have. It will be my go-to cab from now on.

I’ve been using a single Avatar 126 for most things these days. If i need more volume i’ve got a second identical cabinet. If that’s not enough i’ve got an Avatar 153 i’ve used twice in the last five years.

For a SINGLE cab I'd have to go with the one I own: fEARFul 15/6/1

Ideally, though, I'd go with a pair of 12/6/1's with reverse baffle on the second and only take one to the smaller gigs (although it can probably handle pretty large ones on its own, have to say).

Other good options: most anything from Fearless, Barefaced, possibly Avatar

My single cab would be my Barefaced Super Compact.

But even on small gigs I'd use both BF 112 cabs, because of the improvement in tone when you use more drivers, and just turn the volume down.

For me it's this rig. Trace Elliott ELF, with matching 10" cabs. It's the most versitle amp system I've ever used. The amp will cover everything from sitting on 810 cabs bringing thunder, to running ampless (used as a flavored DI to the foh, recording, or monitoring desks). The cabs are good enough for most smaller bar gigs, with foh support or not, and also a great band practice rig (one cab) sitting at home in the bedroom as a practice amp. Cabs are super light, around 16 pounds each. While it does lack at louder, bigger applications, it's able to cover about 90% of small gigs.

Phil Jones Bass GB400 handles small gigs (300 crystal clear watts), and add another tiny C4 for medium gigs (500 watts).

I've become a big fan of the Barefaced Big Baby II, 1x12 + horn.
It's 29lbs, handles up to 800 (!) watts, and has amazing clarity.
I'll bring my GK neo 4x10 for outdoor gigs, but for everything else,
this cabinet is all I need.
