Noob Ebay Question.

Well I'm a really rookie when it comes to Ebay.

So I'm trying to contact a seller that's is selling an bass that I want but everytime I take "Ask A Question" > "Other" > "Continue" I'll get this **** "We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing."

Why can't I contact the seller? I've tried with other sellers and checked all the informations that I've seen, nothing helps.

I just noticed that you are in Europe. Is the seller in the US? If so they may be blocking overseas buyers.

I think he just wants public questions rather than private contact, so he doesn't have to answer the same questions over?

I'd consider that feedback as very good, no worries so far ; )

Well he said that possible buyers should contact him regarding the international shipping, well I want to ask him if it's possible to send here too Finland but I can't reach him at all, that really sucks :'(

Absolutely.

Sellers don't like zero-feedback users contacting them (SPAM) or bidding on their items (fraud).

EDIT : Moreover, an *international* new eBay user with zero feedback? Not a chance this guy will sell to you. Maybe a business, but not some regular guy.

I highly doubt that the seller with sell & ship overseas to a buyer that just joined and has zero feedback. I wouldn't. You would not even be able to bid on any of my items with less than 5 positive feedback.

Can the seller pre-emptively block eBay messaging from certain members? If so, that's a new one on me.

Yes you can. I block all overseas & buyers with less than 5 Positive feedback. I don't even want to hear from them.

My advice to the OP is to buy some cheap things on ebay and get some good feedback.

I don't know why either, but it could be an eBay rule that would help with reducing the amount of SPAM since users would need a few days before being granted the ability to communicate with sellers.

To the OP, you could try a search for the seller and contact him that way with the auction #. There's an option that can prevent people from contacting you directly from within the auctions : there's a possibility he has that option enabled.
