I've seen a number of things brought up:
etc.
- Shirtless
- Sunglasses on stage
- Talking in a fake British Accent
- Wearing your bass really low
Any of these things could be considered "douchey" by the players on this board, but in and of themselves, they really aren't.
By that, I mean, they could work. I am not fashion conscious. Last I heard, wearing your hair like it's 1973 isn't considered that cool, and wearing fringe leather jackets isn't cool either, and I shouldn't wear a straw cowboy hat because Bret Michaels ruined that, and I shouldn't wear tank tops, or tight shirts, either.
But I am myself, and I will be myself, and no one will ever be able to tell me that isn't cool, because it is.
I see your point, but how is pretending you are British when you aren't, "being yourself?"![]()

It's rock and roll, you guys. Anything goes.

If I had to guess I would say that the guy who started the "douchey" threads is a lot like me. What I mean is, I am a sarcastic guy. Lots of times things I type on this forum are misunderstood as being more serious than they actually are. I'm sure that guy doesn't literally think that the things he posted about make "offenders" actual bad people.
Lighten up. Talking about douchey moves on stage is just fun. Nothing more.
Instructions for getting over douchey threads.
1. Grab panties.
2. Unwad.
Sarcasm (unless blatantly stated as such, and even then) doesn't work in text. Just thought I'd pass that along.
