Now I have heard it all...

If this is an honest and not made up story all you do is move on. Even if my fellow band members were headstock snobs I would either set them straight or move on to a group who valued my playing skills more than the brand of my bass.

In this case coming from someone who you'd think should have more open mindedness and tolerance is ludicrous. The basic shapes of the basses you say you own are pretty much the standards used by most everyone so what else is there? If the Thunderbird is too "ungodly" then either a PBass or a JBass should do. Half the bass playing world owns or plays one or the other.

Walk on brother, walk on and don't give it one more second of your time.
