The people that say "no dancing in church" obviously never read the scripture where David threw off his robe and danced before the Lord.

And Jazz being devil music? HAH! The Senior Pastor at my church loves Jazz lol.

First, your story is hilarious. What a tool.

Second, my brother once went backstage and met Allen Woody from Gov't Mule (RIP) after a show in which he rocked the Thunderbird. My brother asked, "Allen, why do you play a Thunderbird?" Allen replied, "Because the Thunderbird gets the chicks." End of discussion. True story. My brother was in awe.

So, perhaps it is an ungodly bass...for all of the right reasons!

The church? What church? not mine.

The inverted cross for instance, is the cross of St. Peter. Supposed anti-Christians appropriated it . It's all in uneducated fundamentalist's heads.

Pentagrams are ancient symbols pre-dating monotheism. Pagan, but in itself, not satanic.

This is the problem when Churches are individual self-governing entities with one person (or a board of people with no theology degrees, driving the belief system unbound by rubrics and higher authorities. They become delusional and detrimental to the image of all of Christendom. The fact is, outside North America, the vast majority of Christians don't share these non-sensical views.

True, but there are inherent problems with the well established sorts too. History bears out many examples of where lock step allowed horrible things to happen to all sorts of people and there was no ability for one to think for themselves. Non denominational or "other" needed to be the result and at times was a breath of fresh air.

The best we can hope for is people who really are genuine in embracing the Gospel message of love.? :cool:

Actually no, I hadn't heard about Stoneman. Just googled him and I love it! But no, the mrs. would never let me bring that home. What I was actually referring to was Joe Nerve's exercise in refin-by-centerfold-decoupage...

I remember WAAYYYY back in the 'Jesus freak' days when Mylon Lefevre had a band called 'Broken Heart'. Saw him in concert and he was being scorned by Jimmy Swaggart (we KNOW what happened to him...).

His take was if Hank Aaron took a Louisville Slugger and hit a home run with it, it was a good bat....if a psycho took the same bat and beat someone to death with it, did that make it an evil bat?

You need to find a church...and the pastor needs to find a bible.
