I've watch his fishing channel. It's OK, but it's all bass all the time. How about some trout or walleye?

Lil' Scotty has become more of a telemarketer and less of a bass educator these days.

A different viewpoint -
I tried to take lessons with a Bass professional in my city (100K + people with a major university). I couldn't find a bass pro to teach me. The guitar player who DID teach bass charged the same in a month as SBL costs for a year..
I can learn what ever i want to focus on they offer over 100 courses. Both Scott and Ian, the main 'teachers' are very good, imo and there's MANY more folks who teach here.
They offer lot's of courses, a separate 'path' that focuses on playing original songs instead exercises, mentorships and chat opportunities.

Sure the sales pitch is annoying, I just ignore that part cuz the content works very well for how i learn.

I've been playing bass for about 30 years, but never had opportunities to learn from other bass players (except what you all teach me here on TB!!! THANKS all )
So i value SBL and am glad i can use it. It's cost effective, i can do it any time of day i like and quit when it doesn't make sense.

If you don't need a teacher, it's obviously not for you, and maybe i'm the only one on TB who can benefit from learning from others.
But to suggest there is no education going on at SBL is just wrong.
