Can you run the OCSD directly into a power amp or the FX return of an amp?

I have never tried either, but I suspect the efx return would work, as would placing it an efx send/return loop of an amp.

I was just thinking how I would set this up. I run a preamp (VTDI or Meatsmoke) into the line in on the back of a Quilter bypassing the pre on the amp. Then DI out of the VT to FOH. I’m hoping the OCSD can replace the preamps altogether.

I’m pretty sure @Dsmnoisemaker said way earlier in this thread that the Omni was more than able to run fine and perfectly into an effects return. Haven’t tried it that way myself but I don’t see how it wouldn’t work.

Me too! Well, #1. It's still sitting in Chile. This is awful. I'm going to have to check the tracking like every 5 minutes. I haven't been this excited for a piece of gear to arrive since . . . . I don't know when.

That’s fine with me, I run the VT clean and get my dirt from other pedals. Oh, and I just sold the Meatsmoke yesterday.

VT is last in the chain, after the pedals. DI from VT goes to the board.

Me too! Well, #1. It's still sitting in Chile. This is awful. I'm going to have to check the tracking like every 5 minutes. I haven't been this excited for a piece of gear to arrive since . . . . I don't know when.

Yup.. that's between leaving Chile and US customs. It means that USPS has been notified of the package.
