If the latter, i’m not sure without splitting the signal. The Low Retain knob acts as a HPF, so as you dial it up, frequencies below whatever it’s set at are unaffected by the effect. But as far as LPF off the top if my head you’d have to split the signal ahead of time and then dial down the Treble and adjust the parametric EQ to dial out higher frequencies in the signal going through the effect. You possibly could run it as Mono In-Stereo Process-Mono Out and do what i said above to path 1 and run path 2 as Clean-No Effect and see if that works for what you’re looking for.

That's interesting thank you! Yes, I meant creating a fuzz or a distortion patch and add it a LPF or with the EQ cut the treble. Something like that. I will investigate what you said!

Noise floor is great! Especially using the blend knob and not going too crazy with the drive knob. And in the app/desktop editor there’s a noise gate you can adjust too.
Can’t directly compare it to either of those, but i know the Pork Loin is a TubeScreamer based pedal and there’s a really good TS setting on it that sounds great-it’s the one i use the most actually.

It's awesome. There's a user-adjustable and excellent gate in the tweaking options which makes an exceptionally low noise floor a zero noise floor.

No experience with the P&P.

1- I mostly use fuzz and drive. My main settings are: Drive all the way up and Clean at noon or drive at 9 and clean at 10-11. No noise. It's the quietest distortion pedal I've ever had.

For many of us, if we had to start again with our boards...the Aftershock would be high up on the shopping list again. I've not had the need for any other overdrive since I got one. However, there are more charecterful boutique fuzzes out there. but for 90% of your dirt needs...the Aftershock is amazingly versatile.

Thinking about revisiting some source audio dirt after trying the Aftershock when it first can out on 2016 and finding it too much of a fight. The Neuro app updates look great (pages instead of one long scroll; frequencies instead of numbers) and promising.

There was a low pass filter quality that was applied to all engines back then, has that been removed?

There are several bass specific engines that are fuller range than the standard engines if that is what you are referring to. FWIW I do not find any of the engines to be different sonically or in feel to the originals that I have had opportunity to make comparisons. I own 5 classics and borrowed several others.

You’ll need a SA Neuro Hub and a midi lead to connect your MS-3 to the hub. The hub interprets Midi for the majority of the one series units. You assign a midi channel to the hub, then assign a channel to the Aftershock via the hub.

GMC hit the nail in the head. That's the set up I am running. Boss MS-3 with an Aftershock, a C4 and a TC SubnUp in the loops. Works great, I have a hub and I'm using MIDI for all my patches that use either of the SA pedals.

Get the hub, you're going to love it

Just a note that if you're using MIDI and you don't need to move the pedal's placement in your signal chain within your controller/loop system, you don't need to put it in one of the loops. You can leave it in front and free up a loop for other uses. I do this with all my MIDI programmable pedals, some are in front of my ES-5 some are behind it, then I can use the loops for all my non-midi pedals.

Just got a great deal on one(120 USD), going to pair it with my b7k.
One question though, most likely the answer it's in the 122 pages but I cant find it(went over 60 already :)) )
Can a third party double footswitch be used as a preset changer in the Aftershock, or the only way I can do it is the Tap Tempo SA switch or the hub?

Hub only if you want to change presets (though then your changing presets on the hub, not the aftershock). The tap switch uses a proprietary wiring because the control input has multiple uses, so a standard footswitch won’t work out of the box without modification. Even so, the switch is only for channel switching use within a preset, it does not change the onboard presets of the pedal.
