NPD Southampton Ictineo

I have eight of them.
The current state of my Ictineo...
Are you guys playing Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon with my pedalboard?
I wanna play! I have 5 of those pedals with another one on the way!
If so I lose, only one the Ictineo.

I have four of those pedals.
I still can't decide which looks better, the Ictineo about to release its undersea mine, or the Ictineo that's just released its undersea mine*.
They both look fantastic.

I use mine as a slight, slight boost/preamp/tone sweetener. And man does it sweeten! Oh man does my tone sing now. It did before. But I feel the Ictineo added a whole new layer of special sauce.
If you can't tell, both the lower switches are all the way left. The top two are both down. Of course the VOL is a little higher at band levels. I'm just fiddling around at home today. Sings!!
Wow. Boost on and ultrabass? That's got to be pretty bass heavy.

I tend to run my Ictineo upper switches up and lower left switch to the right and lower right switch to the left. I also will run it at the clean SVT setting which is upper left switch up, upper right switch on ultra, lower left on flat and lower left on sub.

Yeah, it works for me. I've got a lot going on in that corner of my board, but it works great with the rest of that section. It def does bring the bass. Big bottom, shining top end, cutting mids. Just the way I like it. I'll say it again, oh baby that boost!!! It adds so much sexy to my signal.

So many combos. I still haven't really "dug into" the Ictineo. I mean, I messed with it quite a bit when I got it. Realized there's a ton of tonal variations in this pedal. Those switches open up so many possibilities. But I found a setting that just sounded sweet with my setup and I stuck on it. I'm sure it would be different if there was less preamp action happening on my board. Of course.

I'd really love to see one of these in a 1U rack mount with a built-in HPF and a tuner out in back... (hint! hint!) 
Been introducing Ictineo to Cali76 CB, Thumpinator, Proton, Fifth Gear, and Noble. They seem to be hitting it off! Threw together a spastic sample on soundcloud for fun.
After 25 pages of this thread, I can say with confidence that my regret for backing out of the first run of these is MASSIVE. This sounds like exactly the sort of pedal that I love - "tonal magic", if you like. My board is full of all sorts of it, and I don't think a person can ever get enough.
I'm starting to save now so I can buy one from the next run. I say next run because I can't imagine anyone ever selling off one of these used!

With the Tone turned up that high it'll be cutting some of that low end back a bit.
