I don't know if you've changed your relay bypass in the last year or so John, but every one of your pedals that I have relay bypass on click much much worse than my other pedals. I have to click them on and off at least 20 times upon power up to get them not to click. And then if I leave them for a while during a gig, they will start clicking again.

Is there anything I can do about it? It's kinda annoying especially since the relay bypass was not an insignificant surcharge.

i have not had a clicking issue with them. and IMO, $20 isn't much of a charge for a relayed bypass since the relays cost $6.00 alone.

Yes, thanks to the Ictineo team for a fantastic project. I sold my Submarine Designer to DirtyDuke which then made its way to the cloning table with his connections. I just received an Ictineo so all is good. I feel a little part of all of this. Sweet stuff here.

well, i haven't had any issues with clicking so i don't know what you're talking about. (if you've ever listened to my sound clips on soundcloud, you won't hear any clicking).
BTW, i thought that this thread was about the Ictineo and not bashing me.

Yes, so back to regularly scheduled programming, I'm curious how everyone is using their Ictineo. As a recording tool? Pedalboard preamp? Boost?

I'm using mine in the effects loop of my GK Plex for some real nice fingerstyle tone.

Ictineo in the house. Very sweet sounding device. Though the specifics are quite different, it reminds me of the Alembic SF-2 in spirit. In the way that no matter what frequencies you are messing with, it seems to do it in a clear, non-muddying, useful way. Even the Ultrabass, (through my practice amp, but still) adds a nicely defined, pungent big bottom.

I can tell I won't be fully enamored with the Ictineo until I hear it in a band, integrated pedal board, setting. I look forward to that. Nicely built too.

It's never about bashing you John. But when you post your clone pedals in someone else's threads as some sort of "improvement" and fishing for orders, people deserve to know the truth about your "improvements".

I love SP and am a big supporter of what they're doing. But seriously, a bunch of you cats are bashing a guy who just a few weeks/months ago you had nothing but praise for...

If you aren't happy with someone take it up with that person via PM and handle it that way.

I can report that in a band/live music context the Ictineo works brilliantly and make other effects pedal sound delicious.

As a partner in southampton I appreciate the support. Just to be clear Southampton is owned by myself and Hamish. I am in Thailand on my honeymoon and have not been on much and I know Hamish hasn't commented either as TB is usually my realm.

We greatly appreciate the support of everyone on TB and would not be able to do what we do without you guys

And to answer a question thst seems to have disappeared Os does not have a patent on the DS. Nor does anyone else that im aware of hsve a patent on a circuit (to the best of my limited knowledge of patents)

But i did try to find him and did reach out to him through a third party and did offer to share whatever revenue was generated. Either those efforts failed or he wasnt interested.

Now can we please clean this up?
