I will have a NSD pretty soon, too. I have ordered GHS Pressurewounds for my fretless. A set of 5 strings is only $27.99 $25.48 in the USA. Yay!
This is the lightest gauge I've used. I'll be putting them on tonight. I was wanting a bit of bend on the G and D string.
The ECB84 (40-60-80-100) is definitely better-balanced compared to the ECB81 (45-65-80-100). The 45-G and 65-D are a little too tense for me.
I think you will find that they are still not floppy by any stretch of the imagination. Just reasonable tension and fairly even from string to string.

This is why I don't buy strings locally any more.

Tomorrow is NSD for me - my four basses will all get restrung and I'm excited. Nothing impacts tone as much as strings.
All are flats and all are roughly 55, 75, 95, 115, 130. Pyramid, LaBella, Daddario and Ernie Ball.
Once my church gig resumes in the fall, it will be NBD (new batteries for every bass).
