Octave pedal with a switch for each octave, does it exist?

I am looking for an octave pedal that does +1 and -1, but want each on an independent switch, that can both be turned on if desired. Is there anything like that on the market?

I had a subnup in the past, and loved the tone, but really want each octave level to be switchable. The Walrus Audio Luminary would work since it has 3presets, and I could set a preset for each octave type (-1, +1, and both). But I have played one of these in the past, and while it tracked great, it sounded to organ-y to me.
For me the issue with pedals that have both up and down octaves is they never seem to do both really well. For example I like the POG octave up but I prefer analog octave downs. So for me the better way to go about it is to use two smaller pedals. If you stick say a mxr vintage bass octave next to a nano pog you’ll have both options available with their own footswitches in about the same footprint on the pedalboard as most pedals that have two footswitches that are far enough apart to easily use.

Here it is. I own the little brother of this pedal and it's a treat.

Just played "One Love" by Whodini for at least an hour...

@Lammchop93 The JHS QuadraPOG can do this exactly, and it's how I have used the couple I've had.

1. The middle footswitch is just on/off for the whole pedal.
2. The red and blue controls are duplicated for the -1 and +1 octaves.
3. The side footswitches switch between (red knob 1/red knob 2) and (blue knob 1/blue knob 2) while the white knob is your dry signal. All 3 switches can be on at once, unlike the t1m and kinnatone versions.
4. SO, I leave the white knob at unity; Turn red knob 1 all the way down, and red knob 2 where I like my octave. Turn blue knob 1 all the way down, and blue knob 2 up to desired level.
5. This makes the side footswitches function to turn each octave on and off independently, all leaving your dry wherever you want it. (the only things it can't do are change the dry level between settings, or turn dry on/off like the octron2 can)

Foxrox Octron2.

Most sensible layout of any octave pedal I've ever used. It's pretty much exactly how I would design it myself.

Really like the idea of an Octron2 meself... it seems. to do what I would want (which is very similar to what OP wants) AND it's named after a product from the 70's of my college years' employer, so it's got dat vintage feel. Is it true bypass?

+1 Tom at Cog. He makes a great analogue Octave Down from what I've heard and he seems to relish unusual custom builds, such as analogue octave down and digital octave up.

I just got a Micro POG on 12/25. I love it. But I have to manually change the Low/High octave ratio between songs. The POG2 has presets, but since I am using this more for recording now than live, it I didn't want Santa to pay the higher price for the POG2.

The cool thing about the Micro Pog is all the ways you can mod it. If you only ever change one knob you can add a second pot and stomper for just that one knob; or you can go all out and get it modded like JHS or T1M or ... there are MANY modders out there doing these same mods, so whatever — no need to send the pedal far away, those mods are simple enough your local music shop could do them. You could also buy 2 Mooer Tender Octavers and re-house them in one enclosure.

I’m looking online, and I could build 2 clone kits in the same box and wire them up in series. One is the green ringer octave up, and the other is an MXR blue box fuzz/octave down. I would want to remove the fuzz though.

Green ringer and Blue Box in series? Really don't think that's what you want, based on your narrowed list of Octron, Pog and Luminary and that you want to remove the Fuzz. That's how the GRinger & BBox work, is via fuzz. Then to have them both on in series... not what you're after, I'm sure of it.

Most digital octave-up sounds "organy"; what's too organy for you is not enough for someone else.
Most analogue octave-up sounds "fuzzy", its inherent in the way the octave up is achieved.

Based on your posts, I'd recommend a MicroPog modded by your local shop solder-jockey to do exactly what you want/need. Support local shops!

Green Ringer is basic diode wave folder, blue box just square wave with very bad tracking.
most guys use it, for intentional bad tracking.

For good octave up or down= Pitch shifter
Boss PS-6 has Harmony, Pitch shifter, S Bend and Detune.

Has expression pedal input. way more versatile then pushing switches.
you can set it up to do +1 and -1
toe forward = +1
toe back = -1
does way more than that, but that would be one of many typical pitch shifting presets used since the 80s
without the expression you can still use the pedal foot switch to control multiple functions.

if you literally need 2 switches buy 2 Behringer's for 20 bucks
rather have a expression pedal to do more advanced effects

Maybe not as simple as you asked for but the HX Stomp with the new Poly Pitch and Poly Capo would do it and a lot more. I tried to resist the Stomp for a long time but it's perfect for all those odd effect needs I don't wan't to buy a separate pedal for. I think the pitch shifting in the Stomp is excellent even though a bit expensive if it's the only use for it.

I am looking on their site, so is it both digital and analog for both octave levels? By reading their site it sounds like there’s no analog down, only digital. And then both analog/digital for octave up.

It’s a great idea for a pedal. I love the blend knob.

The octave down is digital, the octave up is analog. I believe the octave up is also at least a bit dirty, maybe look up a sound clip before buying.

Welcome to TB!

Thanks for the info. I had a friend who had the PS-6, but I never remember it 'til it gets mentioned.

Thanks! I really like the concept of the pedal. I wish it could do analog down/digital up, but the blend in the middle might help me find a good middle ground instead. What a cool idea for a pedal.

If you aren’t able to find something that is already produced, I would contact Tom at Cog Effects to see if he may have done this before or could make it for you. The sky seems to be the limit for him when looking through the custom builds.

I sent him an email. I'm curious how much he charges for custom work. I basically said I want a Boss OC-2, and the up from a micro pog on 2 independent switches, but have the dry signal split before each one, and then have them "summed" together at the output. This way if you are running the octave up, the down isn't trying to track the octave up sound, which is what would happen if you ran 2 pedals in side by side in a chain.
