Official 2015 NHL Playoffs Thread

Well so long to the Jets.
The Sens stave off elimination.

Goalies being changed around as well--so some interesting things are afoot--and more tomorrow night...

I was at work while watching the Jets-Ducks game. Man. I shed a small tear when they finally lost. The suffering is over with for now. Jets fans have nothing to be ashamed about. That team is going to go far in the next 5-10 years.

It's a win-win. Now I can get to sleep at a decent hour & I don't have to see Kesler's face again for another 7 or 8 months. And I went down last night at the HF Boards in a Titus-like blaze of glory. After a painful loss there's something incredibly satisfying about telling off a 20 year old moderator whose judgment is seriously lacking.

Yes. I'm 42. Excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.

Cool night of hockey
The Wings/Lightning game wasn't as dramatic as the others, but it wasn't a runaway either.
The Isles/Caps game was close--and means we get a game 7--which can be cool.
The Blackhawks overcome two 2 goal deficits to win the series
And the Flames, in another wild one overcome a 3-0 deficit--and also a 4-3 one to win 7-4.

Crazy night in some ways--especially the Flames/Canucks game.
It must have been crushing to Canucks fans who would probably have preferred to lose in game 7 if they had to lose.
But the Canucks had some bright spots.
the Flames are giving some great experiences to their young players as well.

So we know some of round 2,, but round 1 is still going on--so I'll hold off on round 2 for now.

Of all eight matchups, I was most sure of the Rangers winning. Sure I would have liked it if the Penguins won the series, but I know better as a Pens fan.

I saw the news about Hal Gill retiring. I thought he had already retired. The Pens should have signed him earlier this season. :)
