I'm still getting to know my new-to-me ATK750KOA, but as with every ATK I've owned, it plays, sounds and feels great. It's also a nice weight at 9 lb 6 oz.

THand sent me this bass in the best packaging I have ever seen. The bass looked like it was just unloaded off of the truck at an instrument retailer.

I use a nice little digital chef's scale to weigh my basses. No idea how accurate it really is. It is definitely very repeatable and my "lighter" basses always come up with a smaller number than my "heavy" basses.
I've heard rumors of sub 9 lb ATKs but have yet to own one.

Got a new strap Saturday I was gonna vist my Grandp in the hospital my mom was eating BBQ me not being hungry stumbled upon Center Stage Music in Tyler, TX they had a nice shop. Warwicks, a few Fenders, no Ibanez though anyway I saw a Neotech Super Bass strap on the strap hanger thing.
Finally put in on my ATK305 today and man I thought my custom leather Minotaur strap was good for taking the weight off.
Pretty good strap for ATK players looking for a strap to hang in mid belly region.

I own three Neotech Mega-Bass straps and one Super-Bass strap. I like them enough that I don't even look at "new" straps any more. It's nice to have at least one bass related item for which I don't have insatiable GAS
i could be remembering wrong, so somebody correct me, but it seems like they made a 405...i could be wrong though.

Well honestly I have vanguised that demon (GAS) except for the fact my dream bass is that darn Schecter Diamond P custom 5 string. I always wanted a P/MM bass but, I don't want to touch my ATK to do it. No point fixing what isn't broken right?
Cool setting I found for a Nirvana ish sound: Cut all mid on both the pre and bass amp itself then flip the switch to traditional and add a fuzz pedal and viola! A nice Kirst esque sound. I'd also suggest boosting the treble just a turn or two on the ATK pre to get that gritty mud sound off In Uetro.
The ATK405, ATK705 and ATK1305 are out there, but tough to find.

Tell me about the fretboard on you ATK300TSB... is that figuring I see?
Does it still have the Glockenklang paired with that ebony encased BASScultures pickup?
That neck is loaded with birdseye here's a shot of it when it was being re-radiused and refretted.
That cover is Wenge on the Bassculture pickup....yep...it's still paired with the Glock
My 3EX1 is getting the neck re-radiused as well .... I was able to order the bridge from a 200 series that will become the home of a Seymour Duncan MM pickup. I'm thinkin' I'm gonna go with the John East preamp in that one though.
The 750KA will be going in to have the neck done as soon as I'm thru with the 3EX1....it'll be getting a Glock preamp.

I don't recall ever seeing another ATK (or any Ibanez) with a factory neck with such nice birdseye.
You've put together a real "dream team" of full-grained beauties.
Looking forward to seeing your "updated" 3EX1 after your luthier works his magic + new bridge and pickup.
