So I sold my USATK (US Made) a couple months ago. I REALLY miss it even though I have a nice Korean ATK700

Anyway..... I just found another USATK and it's on it's way to me now! :hyper:

And it's an unusual finish that I have never seen before on a USATK. Trans-Walnut (or rootbeer?). Behold!!!!!!

Hey Quad, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? I'm trying to get a feel for what these USATKs are selling for (I've got my eye on one now that I'm trying to justify buying.)

Here is the wire that has become disconnected, its the black one, not sure where it fit in :/

Heres the whole thing

DOes anyone see what may be the cause of the buzzing? the disconnected wire just made humbucking mode obsolete...
the other 2 still have hum, and when i increase the highs on the eq the buzz/hum becomes much louder. :help:

There should be a wiring diagram on the Ibanez website in the support section, wouldn't surprise me if it'd been posted here at some point. If you had buzzing before it might be to do with the wire that's come loose having a weak connection beforehand, if I recall correctly the black wire is one of the earths (which is also needed to complete the circuit which will be why the humbucker mode isn't working). Boosting the high end will make hisses and buzzes more noticeable because they tend to occur at higher frequencies, so don't worry about that, it's unlikley it's anything to do with your pre.

I'll post it for ya!

Last day for the "EXTRA" code at MF, which gives and additional 10% on most Ibanez stuff, including the last of the Korean ATKs (Cor-Tek Inchon has closed), the ATK750 (above). In addition, by using eBates.Com, you get 5% of the total rebated to your PayPal account.

Long deal!

Too good of a deal to pass up. I bought an ATK 750 Koa and the RSPBK300 at last year's MF blowout. A lot of instrument for the money. I really hope I don't end up with a boat-anchor, however.

It seems like the black and silver wire (in the diagram) are all in a biig blob of solder on mine, maybe thats why :/
Idk, hopefully i can fix it today and figure all this out

Edit
I was lookin at the bass, and the diagram, and it appears that on mine only 5 wires are on the switch thing. There isnt a small blue one, did they change something or has mine been really screwed up? 0.o

I knew that, but on my bass there is no small blue wire... I tried soldering, but no change :( Im startin to think i should replace the electronics, atleast the preamp. It has been nothing but a pain, which is too bad, when it was working it sounded great and it still plays great. But the hum and now wiring problems..ugh.
Ill probably just try getting the wiring repaired by a pro, and if that doesnt work out, my savings goes into fixing up my main bass instead of getting more basses, which is good haha.
