I'm waiting on someone to wire in a split p. I think that would be awesome especially with a G&L MFD P pickup. IMO that should sound like a P/J on steroids, with anger management issues. ;)

Yeah a fairly modernish sounding split P or Jazz pickup should do the trick. Not seen anyone with a full on P pickup in the ATK, might look pretty cool actually, could always cover it over with new guard if you wanted and obviously will be room for a jazz pickup if you ever decided you didn't want the P either. Not suggesting you do that necessarily, Kinda wish I got a route big enough for a P just incase I wanted one at any point, seeming though I paid for the work and it probably wouldn't have cost much more to do.

As for your situation, I dunno what the J pickups are like on the ATKs which have them so they might be worth looking into too, can get them from their spares department. There's so many J and split P pickups it's a little overwhelming to choose really.

Hey guys, greetings from Moscow!

Finally, weeks of waitings and espectations are over and I'm with my sweety Ibanez ATK 300, which has come to me from Japan lately :hyper: I should say it's pretty awesome bass, especially because my previous one was Ibanez GSR190 made in Korea, you see :) Very defferent and universal sound, I also find it very beautiful, so my band does.

Anyway, may I join the club? ^^

Hello ATK fan,
:)

I'm debating the idea of a new ATK 305 nt.

I've made a search but couldn't find much on the differences in quality between the 90'S one and the new Indonesia made one.

The few coments I've read say that the new one are still incredible bass for the price and people seem to love them. Is the new ATK as respected as the old one and will still have a good build quality.
;)

Are there significant difference in the eq voicing ? I realy found the 90'S electronic to be spot on and all three band were great.

Thanks very much for your opinion.

I've owned a 90s version and now have a 2009 ATK305 - they sound exactly the same.

As far as overall quality - I prefer my new one, especially the truss wheel adjustment and the satin finished neck. My new one is also a BIT lighter.
