Such a great sound! I could have got by with one SC, but....

Now that cjlembo has mentioned it, I guess I'd like to know what kind of stand that is, too. One thing about small, light cabinets-- they are low to the ground unless stacked and/or raised up. I hate the milk crate solution.

I've had it forever, nothing fancy. I believe I got it off of musicians friend. I just can't remember the brand right now. I'll look tonight after work and let you know.
I also have a similar stand that tilts just a little, which I use if I'm just bringing one cab.

Killer rig. I notice you're using the through out into the D800. I plug the affected out from my P-15 into the front of a D800+ with a SuperTwin. It's Very Nice.

I bet that does sound nice! My P-15 in the V1, so no 1/4" affected out on mine, just xlr.

So my BB2 arrived, a couple of days late but intact. It sounds great, but quite a bit brighter than my BTII, which I wasn't expecting. I ran brown noise through it for about 8 hours last night at a medium loud level. I'll see if it sounds any different tonight.

Could it be because the horn is closer to your ear?

Could be the balance of the compression driver output with a single woofer in a smaller enclosure vs. two woofers in a bigger enclosure.

No, the BB2 is considerably shorter, so the horn is actually a foot or two further away from my ear.

That's what I assume, but I was surprised at the difference. I figured Barefaced would have attenuated the horn or something to balance it out.

I've been using the new Six/10 since I got it. Still in love with its incredibly large and bold sound but parts of me miss having the crossover horn.
At rehearsal we tried Aerosmith's Seasons of Wither for the 1st time in awhile. It has a wind noise I could almost perfectly emulate with my envelope filter cranked up and Wah pedal. It was very difficult to get the sound acceptively pronounced with the cabinet. So I mounted the Super Midget on top and voila! The wind sound was back. Now as far as mixing drivers? More experiments must be conducted.

Maybe but maybe not exactly. The control is a crossover point, not a tweeter level.

Dialing the crossover to bias toward the woofer should dull the sound as the highs get rolled off, but it might not mirror the effect of an attenuator.

And I'm starting to really like that tweeter control on my BB2s. It's an interesting twist on a tweeter control but I like how it changes the character of the cabinet. Like you said, it's not the same effect as a normal attentuator.

The stand in the photo is made by Axman. The other stand I have that tilts just a little is made by Proline.

Right. What I had expected was that the BB2 would have a fixed attenuation level so it matched the BTII.
As it turns out, I actually like the extra level from the tweeter, I wish I could get that out of the BTII. I can boost highs on my amp, but it's not the same.

The 610 does not look that big for what it is.

Have you done any experiments with the 2-12s combined vs the 610 alone? Or perhaps all at once?

Nope this was my first real experiment. Haven't tested the 6X10 against the 12's I've just really been loving the new cab by itself. So loud, dispersed and articulate. I have to say the 6X10 + SM really brought the nice high voiced pop back to my sound.

Could be. Last night it sounded thicker and rounder to me. But maybe it's just me getting used to the sound. I know when I switch to a much brighter or thumpier bass, it's a shock at first, and then it starts to sound normal.

Either way, it sounds great and as expected it sounds much bigger than it looks.
