Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

Yessir, and it should sound glorious!
Thanks! I'm still a bit confused on how the power is distributed though. Let's say for example I run both cabs at 12ohms each. This will result in a 6ohm load, which should be approximately 700w give or take. Will each cab be sent 700w, or 350w each?
I've always only run a one cab setup which simplified the math for me. Still considering the Six10, but a vertical Two10 stack is appealing too. It's tough when there's multiple good options.

I'm thinking of pairing (2) one 10 cabs with a streamliner 900. This will result in a 4ohm load. Each one 10 is rated to handle 500w max I believe. Will each cab receive 900w, or is it split between the two (450w each)?
There was a time when I knew the answer to this, sorry.
Barefaced does say that a One 10 is comfortable with 500 watts if you are after a clean sound, not that I would crank 500 watts into one. I use two One 10s regularly with a Mesa Subway at 800 watts and they handle it comfortably and go very loud while staying clean. As has been said, each cabinet will receive half the power.

I recently picked up a BB2 here and I'm not sure it's been completely broken in yet. It has plenty of volume but seems very tight and focused and I find myself needing to turn up the bass eq on my amp. I know I need to get used to hearing myself with the cab but I'm used to really feeling my bass. I typically run my eq flat on my D800+ with the voicing at around 2 o'clock. From what I've followed here in this thread that the BB2 has great dispersion throughout a venue which I believe will be exactly what I need given the terrible acoustics of places I play at here in my area.

I have a gig on Sat. and while I'm confident it will cover nicely I want to make sure I have bottom end I need. I haven't tried it yet but I also have a One10 and was thinking to bring it or another one of my cabs for some extra ooph if needed since I won't have FOH support. 4 piece classic rock band that doesn't play insanely loud.

Have you tried engaging the deep switch with the high pass filter turned up a little to compensate?

I don't know what cabs you came from but when I switched to "supercabs" years ago it was striking to me how far off flat some of the cabs I had previously used were. IME, when all those mids showed up it made the low end sound softer...try cutting your mids before boosting anything.

I did try that and will have to experiment live on Saturday, at home is by no means a way to gauge the overall effect. I also A/B with cabs I currently own and really liked the clarity and just need to find a little more low end for my taste.

My issue is I still have the other cabs looking for the right fit. What I want is a one cab solution for one trip in and one trip out carry. I've been using a Berg HDN112/210 setup and it's been great but I don't like either cab independently but they're fantastic together. With that said that setup is a 2 trip carry and I know I can get a dolly or hand truck but I really want to avoid that.
I did find myself cutting some mids off of my bass eq and on the D800+, my main bass has flats on it and was surprised how much I had going with the mids at a moderate volume. I usually have to boost my mids depending on the type of music or song since I like using flats.

Ah, I've never played a Berg but from what I understand they should be in the same ballpark...possibly the speaker isn't broken in yet.

When I went with the QSC poweramp-avalon u5-Barefaced the sound was extremely sterile but a great base for me to work off of with pedals. I had been using Acme and from what I can remember they seemed a bit deeper...I really need to A/B them sometime.

In general, that's a good point. But in this case, with the voicing on the D800+ set at 2:00, wouldn't there already be a mid scoop with a boost to the bass and treble?

As @maxmaroon said, the BB2 is pretty flat and clean, which most other cabs aren't. So, don't be afraid to apply more "drastic" EQ than you might be used to, the cab will easily take it. It's just up to you to decide how much of everything you want instead of the cab designers, for most colored cabs. To me, its never about what a rig sounds like with everything at 12 o'clock that defines a cab; it's how it sounds once you've made your adjustments. Freedom, flexibility.

I pretty much never run BB2 close to "flat". Also, horn crossover point can have a lot to do with the sound-- though I realize it's not affecting bass directly, which is your main concern. It can make the difference between clacky and gorgeous. For large gigs I like to bring my SM to pair with the BB2, but honestly, I don't think I actually need it for anything but the most bombastic gigs, which I avoid assiduously nowadays. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck with your tone quest. We're all on that road, man. Godspeed.

They're definitely in the same ballpark but different to my ear.

I typically have left the voicing at 12 o'clock prior to using this cab. I was asking myself the same question, I did like my overall sound at this new setting, just need to have some more bottom end.

Ive been going back and forth with this "issue/enlightenment". Im finding I apply a lot of eq now to my SM compared to my "flat" Acme setup.

I definitely think the ACMEs are darker, they "feel" deeper more tamed in the mids and highs.

For me where ACME=flat eq
the SM = cut high mids (1200hz), highs off (10kHz), and some bump in lows (30hz)

@Plutonium244 I know exactly what you mean. I've been somewhat lucky with being able to keeping eq flat. I'll find the sweet spot and definitely need to work with the crossover more. Thank you for the input especially about designers colored cabs, I really didn't take that into much consideration at first thought.

I just bought an Ampeg Pf20t and would like to know if a BareFaced 10CR would be a good match for it. I'm looking for a clean warm tone.

its definitely a great combo. not sure what exactly "clean and warm" mean to you as they are very subjective words as we all know here. i would say the super compact is certainly "cleaner" since it doesn't distort as readily, and since it has way more low end, could definitely be construed as "warmer". i would say the 10's are more "punchy" and "growly"especially when you push them hard. but they're not un-"warm" either and they have a lovely "roundness" to them.
...yea i drank the coolaid. tastes pretty good.....
if you want a single cab , and maybe gig it too, i think saving up for a super compact might be worth your while. i think it also sounds a little more similar to an actual B15 portaflex cab. (but none of em hold a candle to that tone in my HUMBLE opinion ;) )
