I know there's been a ton of discussion about BF 10's versus 12's, but here's my use case: 4 string bass tuned to BEAD with HEAVY fuzz. I usually crank the bass and treble on my amp and leave the mids flat. I saw someone mention that once they started using more fuzz, the 10's weren't doing the high frequencies justice. Does that sound accurate? Thanks in advance!

My one complaint about the BB2's that I've used for years is that I hate (yes, hate) the interaction of the horn + pretty much any dirt pedal. I turn the horn down as far as it goes.
I haven't used a heavy fuzz or distortion with the Two10S's yet. Maybe I'll remember to put one on my board for to,or rows gig and give it a shot.
I used a dark glass B3k with a pair of Four10's that sounded wicked. Plenty of dynamic control with the pedal and the tone fit well in a hard rock / metal setting.

I think the Two10S plays really nicely with fuzz and distortion. Though to be fair I've only really started getting into using fuzz recently because of a new band, and so I'm probably doing it all wrong
If it's any help... I use a X7 into a SuperTwin. The X7 is highly distorted from 200Hz and above, sounds amazing.

I'm curious if using my BB2 paired with a pair of Two10S cabs would work the way I want/need.
I have an outdoor gig today, it's a large space to cover. We have no PA support so my rig needs to carry the bass. I typically use my NV610 and it covers it just fine. However, the load in sucks and the place is a mud pit. Using the Barefaced cabs would be preferable if I could, but I know the pair of Two10S cabs won't handle it by themselves which is why I'm asking about adding in the BB2 to the mix.

The consensus is that BF 10's and 12's don't mix well, and that's also what Alex says.
I used my BB2 and Two10s on a large soundstage rehearsal space and it sounded amazing to me. I shared that info here a few years ago and got somewhat blasted for it. To me it paired well and carried the room when I walked around with my wireless. Outdoors may be different results but if I still had the BB2 I'd use it again.

this. I have a handful of hi-fi cabs with tweeters and the only way I can get a pleasing sound with my dirt pedals without rolling off the tweeter attenuator (not ideal as I'm getting different sounds for different songs in one show) is to use a cab simulator. Assorted dirt into the DSM Omni cab sim is magical

Observation #1 - I LOVE my BB2s but always thought they were a quite large 1x12, not a heavy schlep but a sometimes awkward schlep such as through doorways and in stair wells. I didn't realize until now that the Two10 is actually a little bigger!
Observation #2 - Love the color of that bass, especially with that strap!

I think the BB3 addressed your observation #1 concern with the updated handle. I wouldn't mind a side handle on my Two10s to carry it long ways sometimes.Hey, if it sounds good then it is good!

I do at times miss that bass, best playing Fender P I've ever owned but the neck was a little too chunky for me. I actually matched the Two10s blue baffle to that bass. Luckily I have other blue basses.
You also have a great eye. That is a One10s sitting there. After a break that day I switched out the BB2 for the One10 to try together but forgot to take a pic. It definitely added something to it but I liked the BB2 and Two10s for the added volume and bottom end. I actually plan on using the 3x10 setup in November for a medium sized bar that I won't have PA support. I really like the height to bring my sound closer to my ears.
So a follow up question, what is the impedance when I run them together?
(1) 8 ohm cab
(2) 12 ohm cabs

Consensus here is it's not a good pairing. I personally don't know exactly why but Alex is the expert and knows his products best. I thought it sounded fine but ultimately didn't pair it for the outdoor gig due to what was said here. Ultimately for that gig I paired an Aggie SL410X and a Berg HDN210 which was the last hurrah for the Aggie before I let it go. Worked great but always wondered if the BF combo would've worked.
I'm going to go for it. At worst I unplug it and use the pair of Two10S' by themselves and deal with not being loud enough.
My band seriously needs to invest in a sub. We've been talking about it but still want to maintain a small footprint and simple load in. Most decent subs are pretty big in the grand scheme of things.
