Yeah, if I remember correctly it's only offered of you have an old cab that you need it to match, and it was a £30 charge. I'm glad it was an option, I could live with a mismatch but I like the uniformity
Maybe because the tweeters are different? The bb2 has a horn, the sm has a tweeter.
Pretty sure it's the enclosure size and the port tuning that makes the difference.
Thanks, that's good to know. I do have cabs with the older logo and have hesitated to get a new BF cab because I don't like the new logo, plus I want them to match.
Probably because of that precisely: different enclosures. The limits need to be calculated in relation to the volume of the cabinet, the ports etc. That's why it's not so simple to design a bass cabinet.
Just had a check in the confirmation email, and this was the text:
"Important news! Firstly, all bass cabs are now being manufactured with our newer "script" logo positioned in the top left, as first seen on our AVD guitar cabs. If you're buying a second cab to make a stack then we may be able to fit the older "block" logo to match your older cab - please email us if you need help with this."
I know what you mean. I could have gone for a black grill and the new logo and saved some money and the cab would have looked good, but I intend to keep this rig for as long as I can, so it was worth a little extra outlay to me to make them match.
Service has a cost.
Quality has a cost.
You provide both at an unmatched level yet a very reasonable cost. That alone is priceless these days.

Seconding this comment from personal experience. I started with a BB3, which was $#&% great for the rehearsal room and small- to mid-sized stages with FOH support. I run DI out through a Quad Cortex so I could use the BB3 as a monitor if the house system wasn't great for bass on stage. But when we played a larger small venue with no FOH support for guitars/bass, the BB3 was audible against two 2x12 guitars and a deaf drummer but didn't have the chest thump on the dance floor that I would have liked. Got a Big Twin coming - pretty sure that will do the deed.

I have a 1x12 GR and I don't think it would be enough. Also too rare and expensive to experiment with.

I would say a 2x12 without question.
A 2x10 is not going to give you much...if any..more than you've already got with your 1x12. And not to talk you out of Barefaced, but why not a 2nd GR 1x12 since you already have one?
The new logo was a shocker for me but once it got here it grew on me. Having your cabs match makes total sense. When I ordered mine, I tried to get an old logo, but Alex told me they were reserved for those trying to match new cabs to their older models.

I had a Big Twin and it was overkill for the gigs I do. I almost always have PA support and only use a cab on stage for monitoring purposes and "feel" (I just like the way it feels standing in front of a cab). I also have a One10T and a One10 and the two of them together sounds amazing. I found I used them more than the Big Twin and it was just gathering dust, so I let it go. I hated too...but no reason to keep it in my basement unused. It needs to be on a stage.
My small, lightweight, 2xOne10 rig is just right for what I do. I can even take just one One10 if I'm doing an acoustic gig.
The HX Stomp, Baby Sumo, and 2 One10 cabs makes for a killer little uber portable rig:
A single cab would be perfect for an acoustic gig or a small venue such as a coffee house. Two of them are pretty formidable. You could easily use them with a fairly loud band. Even the low B string is nice and deep.
Normally on bigger gigs I have PA support so the cabs are just stage volume.
Interesting. Ive been doing pub gigs with a pair of pjb C2’s, and my thinking is a single One10 will be a rather noticeable increase in sensitivity… meaning I will be carrying a medium indoor rock gig w One10. I hope im not off base.
Without FOH support? I can't imagine doing a rock gig with any single 1X10. I've been nervous to try and use a single Two10S.
