If I was told that someone I knew did that and I had to guess who it was, you probably would have been my first guess.Some of my gigs have included running pink noise through my BB2 pair as part of the show
A D-800 and a D-350. And the GK is an MB-500 Fusion. And I keep a GK MB-200 in the car for just in case.
I plan to have a UV light at the bass of the cab when I'm using the Frog. Not sure yet how effective it will be.I love that the green matches your Frog

Since today's A/B/C comparison coincides with BBQ, I'm just going to let my guitar player friend know that we're going to have to do the same comparison again in a couple of weeks.
I thought I'd send in my official request to join the Barefaced Cab Club. This picture is from a "backyard" concert at a Northern Minnesota Brewery. I usually use all three cabs for concerts, two for most bar gigs,and just one for our acoustic shows. These Barefaced two10 cabs are some BadMammaJamma's! Had'em down in Nashville last month and they kicked some serious booty!
Update: That comparison thing never happened. There was another mutual friend there, and we just got involved in BBQ and talk.
So I never even plugged it in until my gig Friday night. And it sounded great! If nobody had mentioned a break-in period, I probably never would have known. Not from the sound, anyway. And I got compliments on my bass tone. A couple people said they could hear the bass clearly, every detail, from the back of the room. So far, it's everything I hoped it would be.

We'll be playing as part of a three group showcase in an auditorium tonight. I think my two bb3's are gonna be opened up... 
I was told FOH isn't the best.
@BlueTalon I didn't notice a ton of difference in my cabs between out of the box and a year later. The biggest difference in how they sound is actually how I eq my head and adding the mesa TT-800 in the fold.

Everyone here knows this already, but only my BB3 Barefaced cabs record well on iPhones when at smaller gigs. Must be the FRFR thing? My other rigs sound thin or muddy, even with the exact same amp settings. @alexclaber Pure positive sorcery I say!
There were some iPhone recordings made at a recent department store courtyard/outdoor blues gig. The single Super Compact sounded full and even, even with the phone being moved around. I didn't notice a break in period, but I was, and am still, getting used to the cab in various playing situations, with different basses, including amplified string bass. Enjoying the process though!
And a fair answer, that addresses the questions. A BackBeat would be less expensive but given those choices, I'd strongly prefer either the BB3's you have now or a BT3 to a BackBeat.
And that adds additional info. I've never played through a Six10 or an Eight10 (would love too, though!) but, if you want that kind of presence on stage, then I suspect even the BT3 might fall short? But if Alex is aware that you're looking, he would be the right person to help you decide if either is a better enough choice for you to be worth the steep price ($1900 and $2800 USD, yikes!).
I certainly would love to play with a Six10 behind me, but I can't imagine ever playing a gig where I'd need it (based on my personal playing situations, not making any assumptions about yours).

Playing the Anheuser-Busch Ribfest next weekend. Quick turnarounds so they are encouraging bands to use the back line. I'll be running a GK1001 through an SVT 8x10, their rig. I know GK's stuff so curious to hear the fridge and then a Six10T in a while. Down By Ten is the band if you are curious. 2xBB3 being pushed by an EA iAMP Classic in most pics but you'll also see an all-Genzler in a few.
So I backlined my Retro610 at a 3 band all Stoner/Doom bill we put together last Thursday. First bassist ran an Orange OB1-300, second a Darkglass 900 but i'm not sure which specifically one. It was awesome being in the room getting to actually hear what people hear when i'm on stage.

I've been using my BB3 for the last six months in a variety of context and it is great for upright. It was exactly what I was looking for. Here is a recent gig for the curious. Sometimes I play in some seriously loud situations and this thing hasn't even broken a sweat & it feels full and sweet at lower volumes as well.
Yes, bass speakers and guitar speakers are very different things. Guitar speakers do not rely on the enclosure to make their sound, as evidenced by guitar combo amps and open back cabinets.
So I had my second gig tonight with my BB3. I played both my Adamovic Soul and my Maruszczyk Frog through my Mesa D-800 amp. One of the people showing up for the light-turnout gig was Lynn Ellsworth, originally of Boogie Bodies and the guy who made Eddie Van Halen's first famous guitar. Lynn is building me a bass, but that's a completely different story. Anyway, Lynn has been around the block a few times. He told me tonight that my bass sound was the best bass sound he'd ever heard! It was crystal clear, detailed, nuanced, but with all the bottom end you could ask for -- so much so that he felt it at his seat. He said whatever I paid for it, it was worth it.
I got worked up over nothing regarding that break-in period.
