The 310 probably would weigh more. Three magnets instead of two. Three metal speaker enclosures instead of two. Possibly several more ounces for connections. Not sure about additional internal construction. I suppose this would appeal to someone who insists on playing 10s. But in terms of volume and heft and "honest" bass tone, it's hard to see where the 310 would be worth the extra weight compared to a Super Twin.
I'm with you. I'm certainly not among the target audience for a 310 cab, and I'm sure you're right about the weight. My only thought about it was how the 310 and the Super Twin would sound together -- because if the cabs are the same dimensions looking at it from the front, I'm sure a 310 & Super Twin side by side would look cool as anything.
A few years ago I gigged a Two10 and One10 and they sounded fine, but I sold the 210 to concentrate on 112's.
A 310 could be a great design, and I'd be happy to gig that again, but I'm not interested in any cab that weighs more than 30lbs. I'd probably just add a third One10 to the 2 I already own.

The Two10 opened up on an outdoor gig is already very impressive. Haven't needed to add my One10 yet.
Wow, this is really great news. A 4 ohm Four10 would be way more useful in my situation. Reasonably compact in size and compatible with all my amps including an SVT. And there's still options for modular additions such as a Two10.
Previously the 2 ohm version was the only option for my SVT but was not very versatile and with no modularity with further cabs.
Anyone know how Alex did this, or can @alexclaber himself explain how he solved this (discussed at length) impedance headache to enable a 4 ohm Four10? New drivers?

I am pretty sure he redesigned the driver so there are now two versions of the 10cr
Barefaced socials announced powered guitar cabs and said WE will have our own news next week!
likely. I'm hoping for amp news but the Three10 will be welcomed as well.
We're all hoping for the amp, but after all these years... do you have any particular reason to expect it may come now?

I'm not aware of two versions of the 10CR. From the website:
"Confused about which 10CR cabs work with which other ones? You've come to the right place! Firstly, every 10CR model, from the One10 to the Eight10, T or not, uses the same Barefaced 10CR250 drivers."
The 12/4 ohm impedance switch on the Two10 is just a series/parallel switch.
Note: The math doesn't work out cleanly with the given nominal impedance, but you'd have to take that up with Alex.

I suspect the website just hasn't been updated then. I am sure I read about the new but similar driver, just can't remember where I saw it.
