Think it has to be Bayerfaced Owners Club, though you might find the German chemical company objecting. Perhaps Bay-area-faced.
No links yet. The group I'm playing with now is newly formed with just one gig under our belt so far. I'll share when we have recordings/video/website etc.
Question for you Rob: do you set and forget the tweeter on your One10T or change it frequently? How different does it sound from the cab w/o the tweeter? Wondering if I should get it for my next cab.
Another Bay Area Barefaced owner. My stage rig has been a SuperTwin and BB2 since 2018. I recently picked up a second BB2. Especially love being able to finally hear exactly what each of my basses and pre-amps sounds like. Great stuff!

Hope to see my BB3 in February. I'm also Bay Area in Los Gatos.
I leave it at 1/4 all the time, at least so far. I've only had the cabs a few months, so things can certainly change. I don't know that I would have
gotten the tweeter looking back. The cabs sound great without a tweeter. These little cabs kick ass!!
Hi Stephen. That's a beautiful Alembic! I have an 85 Spoiler I bought new and love it still. I have a multi scale Ibanez bass coming
Monday. I played a Dingwall at NAMM, but it's too pricey for me. I know Phil loves the Dead and plays their music as well.
I never played at Terrapin Crossroads. Cool! I did play at New George's in the 90s with a mostly original band called Aquamarine.

Thanks Rob! I got my first Alembic in 1983, I have played either Alembic basses or basses with Alembic pickups and electronics ever since. Love the purity and musicality of the sound. The Spoiler is a nice simple model that like all Alembics sounds great. I also have an older G. Gould GGi5 with a wood and graphite composite neck and EMG pickups which I play occasionally, it is currently strung with custom Pyramid Gold flats. I have never played a multi-scale bass enjoy your new Ibanez! I am sure we will meet up at some point...
We had a guitarist doing the Dickey parts, who lives in Los Altos. He subs for us now and today is his birthday. Jon Barnes.
My Ibanez was delivered 10 minutes ago! Can't wait to try it out. Waiting for the Mono case to arrive next. I got my Spoiler on sale at GC in 85 for $800.
I couldn't afford a new or used Alembic now. I'm using LaBella Gold White Flat strings. Shortly after I bought the Spoiler, I started breaking strings.
I went to Alembic a few times and they never figued it out. It's the saddles. A local tech put graphite on the saddles. Next I bought Graphite saddles.
Alembic sent me nickel saddles. I still broke strings, so I've been using flats ever since. I don't break strings on any other instrument.
Here's me playing out first gig of '24 with my Big Twin 3, EBS Reidmar 750 and me playing my GB Guitars Spitfire bass
This combo sounded absolstely great - clear miss and highs. But with a solid low end. I could feel and hear my sound perfectly. Looking forwards to our next gig on the 27th!.

Thanks - it is a bit unusual. All of my other basses have dots, but it does give a clean look, and I like the binding. It's a killer bass - Bernie Goodfellow is a bit of a genius with wood.I'm proud to be associated with GB / Bernie Goodfellow- I build his custom three band preamp circuits. See some of my other basses made by him below.
I love my BB3 is really great with EBS amps.. you can get any sort of sound you want out of this combo and the dispersion means you can really hear yourself well and it projects into the room and will do LOUD and clean You can do anything from hi-fi to dub with this rig, although I'm thinking a big baby 3 might be in my future where the big twin 3 might be overkill and we are playing with PA support. The Big Twin 3 is lighter than you might think, but a smaller, lighter cab with similar character would be a good option.

After seeing those picts (beautiful basses), I realize I only have one bass 'with' dots of any kind other than side-dots...

Pedalboard is worthy of a separate post, I have just about every tone you'd recognize - from straight Jamerson to JT's Save A Prayer to Levin's Shock The Monkey to a Hammond B3 patch so we can play Prince's Let's Go Crazy.
