What are those plastic things around some of your knobs?
If you mean these it's the stomp lock it comes with the pedals.

Oh man, my FX10 came today. Great shape, clean, sounded good, but then I spent the night troubleshooting this sputtery fizzing sound (it's happened a few times before, so it wasn't the pedal. I cleaned all my cables, daisy chain, and input jacks with isopropyl alcohol and most of it has stopped now unless I move the bass itself, so I'll be taking that in...)

But the thirty minutes I spent with the FX10 through headphones without technical difficulties were awesome. Definitely worth the $40 I paid. I'll likely take my SansAmp off the board, but now I'm in the market for a lightish tube overdrive. :P

Maybe try out the Fx91 Bass OD? There's a few of them on Reverb right now for $50-60 and since this is the DOD Fan Club I'd be remiss if I didn't mention it!

What is a Milkbox worth? A pawnstore here has one for $69 sticker price. They're willing to trade it to me for my Boss Tremolo plus $15. They said that's dropping the price to $40 and buying my Boss for $25, me paying the difference. Is that a fair trade?

Yeah that's fair.

Usually you find milk boxes for around $60, $69 is a little high but I've seen plenty of listings at $80.

If you sold your tr2 you'd prolly be able to get around $50, so you'd need to toss in $10. But then you'd have to do the work of listing it, selling it, shipping it, etc. Paying an extra $5 for all that to be done for you seems more than reasonable.
