You should really re-wind your D and G strings so they go the other way around the tuning posts. Otherwise, nice bass.

It's like coating my hands with butter... I love the details in the grain, it's insane that fungus can make a bass look so good!

Same thing, except for the additional string. Plays, feels and looks great. The true tone is somewhere between the darker pictures above and mine.

Hey, ESPers! I have an ESP body that was made for Modulus. I put together a bass using the neck from this ESP and now have the body that I'd like to do something with, but it doesn't accept Fender necks (the pockets a tad too narrow) I have active EMGs that came with it, and it's in pretty good condition. Any ideas about what necks work best for these?
ESP made Modulus bodies back in the '80s and this was made to look very "Fenderish" with a Fender profile headstock on the graphite neck. I'd like to retain that Fender P look.

I don't know of any necks that would bolt right on, but it wouldn't hurt to call or e-mail someone at ESP. I'm sure someone there could tell you what would work. Also, you could check out some independent luthiers. (There are a lot of them here on TB). If you give them the measurements, they could probably build a neck to fit your body. That might get expensive, though.

At any rate, let us know how it works out for you.

I've got an ESP Ax -104 . I've put up a review for it . My bass is pretty versatile and i get all the tones i need. And it's got evil looks. . I've tuned it to BEAD and it responds well. Put a new set of Dadarios XL's . Sounds great .

I've had a B-50 for a couple years now and I think it's a great bass for the money. I de-fretted mine and I'm currently in the process of refinishing the body. Pics soon!

I'm kinda late to this party, but can I get in? I just acquired what appears to be an early 80's ESP bass of some kind.

I started a thread about this bass last month when I first got it to try and get some history on it, (See http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=359495). Anyway, since the pix were taken I've upgraded the tuners and electronics. It now has a Searcy neodymium P-Bass pickup that kicks 57 varieties of butt.

I'm figuring on giving my Jazz bass a rest for awhile 'cos this bass is very fun to play. (Gig this weekend - can't wait!)
