Hello!
Just have read H9 settings topic and found this club.. Its my rig , dont need anything more. All are max ,synced together with one tap tempo, two of them are pre before other pre/post before and in effects loop. Algorythms are sorted pre/post depends on signal chain rules. I can highly recommend softstep as a controller Its totally configurable. Hope to find interesting H9 presets... I'll take a number please

Do you use the EQ Compressor, Crushstation and Sculpt algos much?

Yep! Basswitch ...read...big ass bitch..
I use eqcompressor all the time but with different settings..depending on situation and bass I'm playing.Somethimes Sculpt dirty boost but more subtel settings for little overdriven sound.Crushstation for doom is a must.

One of my H9s appeared to have shat itself at practise tonight; wouldn't change presets, etc. Turned it off and on again and the word "update" shows up, and nothing worked. Did this 3 times, gave up and used other pedals. Plugged it in at home later and it fired up first time.

First fault I've had with these; anyone had something similar?

I mentioned my issue within the last few pages. Doesn't sound too similar though; mine was just dead.

I found a few others online who have experienced the same issue and had to return it for service:

While I first reported the problem Technical Support suggested I purchase a replacement power supply but when that didn't help they quoted a flat rate of $100 incl return shipping since I'm also technically out of warranty. I'm pretty sure mine is less than a year old, but I'm not the original owner. We'll see.....

They've done that for me twice---repairing an out-of-warranty unit for the cost of one-way shipping. I do think that ultimately they have very good customer service.

Use your iPhone or iPad or whatever. It's easier to find your settings.

Also, rename and re-order your favorite algorithms so they are easier to find.

I have all my compressor settings first, then all the sculpt and bit crushers, then choruses, phasers, modulators, the types I don't use much are by the end.

But even then, finding them on my phone is easier and quicker than dialing through.

Finally, get an expression pedal. Opens up a whole world of control.

Not unchill. Just confused, hence the confused meme rather than an unchill one.

Also I think they should have a bitcrusher algorithm, so I'm well aware that they don't have one.

I've been using a laptop for editing at the moment and it's helped out so far, I might try it with my sisters ipod. Even of that isn't any better at least I'm able to use discounted iTunes cards for algorithms

Are there any algorithms I could user to create a faux organ sound like I currently get with my SubnUp?

And, are there any good bass player resources I need to check out? I read this thread from start to finish, but I want MOAR reading until toys start arriving.

Chiming in here about scrolling presets...

At home for practice I use my iPhone to setup all the presets. Then I put them on a small preset list - just a few that I'd use to perform. Then I save that to the H9, overwriting its preset list.

Then on a gig, I just use the right button on the H9 to scroll forward among the small list. It goes back around from the last preset to the first.

BTW, I Max'd my H9, mostly for guitar playing. For my bass playing on a worship team, I've only really used one of the H910 / 949 presets for fattening up my tone during a solo, and use the Hall reverb during to add atmosphere during a moody song.

One other thing... I'm genetically intolerant to MIDI. At least so far that's been the case. So if I do go with a second H9 someday, I'll have to figure out a way to handle things without a MIDI controller.

IMHO, Eventide should come up with one pedal that is basically two H9s put together. Maybe three! And let me build patches controlling them together.

There was a TB Dropbox that a bunch of us are in on, but not a lot of action. There is also a Dropbox that can be accessed through the TB (EDIT: Eventide) forums. Somewhere on their website Eventide has a pack of bass specific presets.

Several algorithms can give you something in the realm of an organ. If you only want octaves, then Diatonic, Octaver, Quadravox, Harmodulator, and Pitchflex can all do something you might want.
