Thanks! Somehow hadn't come across that yet. Was hoping for 12V since I've got that open outlet on my Noble pre, but I could probably make that work. So far the H9's been a fantastic practice-rig-in-a-box... the goal now is to integrate it into my live rig.

Also, agreed w/ some of the above comments—the envelope filters are okay, but certainly not the H9's forte. Such an elusive effect for me... hoping the upcoming Micro-Tron III ends the pedalboard-friendly-envelope-filter quest.

Bummer... turns out w/ my setup, 9V might bump current draw just over the Noble's limit. Looks like I could instead go 9V -> gigrig supa-nova (outputs 12V center neg) -> polarity reverser. Not the most elegant solution, but maybe the only option other than running H9 non-isolated.

I don't think that the H9 without isolation will be that good. It could get very noisy.

I got CRAZY noise when I first tried to use my Pitchfactor on a daisy chain. I stopped doing that.

Another question for you H9ers: Anyone using H9 with an Expressionator (and an expression pedal) plus a separate aux pedal? I gather I'd need a stereo/mono splitter (e.g., I believe EBS ICY-30 would work) and wire as follows: connect stereo plug to H9 aux out, connect "ring" mono plug to aux switch, and connect "tip" mono plug to something like the Mission Engineering Line 6 adapter, to convert from mono to TRS, and plug the other end of the Line 6 adapter into one of the Expressionator outputs. Just curious if anyone has had success with this.

I'm writing for some H9 advice of my own. Is there a way to update a single patch from my phone without uploading ALL the patches to the pedal again from the app? That seems slow and tedious but I've never found another way.

Relatedly, is there a way to set which parameters for a patch or algorithm are chosen by the "X" "Y" and "Z" buttons on the H9?

Just saw this. Quiet thread! I use a single aux pedal (Boss footswitch) to switch it to the tuner setting, plus a Line6 expression pedal. You are correct that the EBS ICY-30 should work. What you can't do in this configuration is use the 3-button aux config.

Thanks @JES and @Veldar... yeah really looking forward to expression pedal + aux switch setup, without which the H9 just doesn't feel complete to me. Pre-ordered the new DOD mini expression pedal, the plan is to use Expressionator to run that DOD w/ H9 plus some other pedals.

Picked up the, finally affordable-ish, iPad 5th Gen yesterday and really looking fwd to digging way deep into my pair of H9's.

I have been anti Apple since the get go, but no android option (which would probably suck anyway). So now I get to see what the fuss is about. Gotta say it looks sexy af just charging!!
