I'm in the process of re-thinking my settings. I used to have about 6 compression settings, then some phased, then some chorus, etc...

Who has organized their settings similarly or more efficiently? I lose track of what I have there when I'm trying to find a sound for a new song.

I'm not regularly gigging right now, so it's okay for now, but sometime, I want to spend several hours organizing my H9. I think I'll want to do number ranges for types of sound, rather than organize by song, but we'll see. I wish there were some auto-sort by algorithm option, but that's me being picky.

I use MIDI for direct access to various presets. Not convenient for everyone, but I really can't imagine scrolling through presets in a live setting.

The Disaster Area DMC3v2 and later allows you to do both engaged and disengaged scrolling. It also allows for 24 presets where you can activate presets on the three channels that can be used. That would give you the ability to keep all our presets lists, but then arrange them in the list of 24 presets on the DMC3. The DMC4 and above probably do the same.

MIDI isn't that difficult to figure out and is powerful with the H9. I have an older Liquid Foot Pro (16 Stomps and 6 PCs), a Source Audio Reflex (midi exp pedal) and a Motu MIDI Express XT MIDI router. Works a treat on the HOG2, FI, and H9, and soon probably another H9. Saves room on the Helix Control for mainly Helix function controls, which can also send MIDI, but the Helix is far less versatile at midi control than the LFP.

Got my H9/ox/mission engineering exp pedal today,.....very cool little toy,...now I've got to learn how to run the damn thing! :eek: Any fav algo's you guys could suggest for me to d/l? I'm doing casino gigs, classic rock to current pop. So thinking some synthy bass stuff would work well. Also, probably in here somewhere in the thread, but shared settings pages that might be worth visiting? Thanks in advance, Gotta run leave great feedback for the TB'er I got it from and then play around with it some more. :hyper::bassist::woot:

Holy!!!! I just picked up an H9 Max to use for delay/verb/mod and I am blown away. I was thinking that I'd still keep stomp boxes for some other effects but the octavers on this thing are sweet, the fuzzes are MASSIVE!!! and I thought I'd have to keep my envelope filter too, but I found an adequate setting under "sculpt".

I'm like a kid on Christmas morning playing with these presets right now.

My pedalboard just got a lot smaller today...

Just grabbed the Morningstar MC6 Midi controller which was the last piece to the puzzle for me.

The bank up/bank down feature lets you change which 6 programs the switches are set to. I made 1 bank for some favourites for quick switching during jams and then 1 bank for each of: Fuzzes, Octavers, Delays, Reverbs, Modulations.

I think the Morningstar unit is a tad expensive but I wouldn't be able to shrink my board to a Metro 16 without it.
