I've got a Timefactor and a Space along with two H9's. I think I can say that there aren't many sounds that I cannot get out of this combination. I'm really only limited by time...

I've got a Source Audio OFD and a Moog Drive pedal for whatever the Eventides cannot do.

This is actually my second time around with Eventide. I had a Pitchfactor and a Modfactor in the past, but I got interested in the company again when the H9 was announced.

I'll take #7, if it is available.

Not sure I should be posting g***** stories here, but this morning at church we had a last minute key change. I used the Pitchfactor as a virtual capo. It sounded great and made the transition so easy.

Edited to add: the key change was for the whole song, not in-song modulation.

A lot of you might find this interesting, Eventide is putting out a new version of the H9---it's the same except you get fewer preloaded effects for a lower price point:

Also in their e-mail they confirm that they will make the H9 software available for editing the Factor series. I assume this involves an update to the Factor series pedals themselves.

Hmm, I can't seem to edit the original post. But you'd be #6. I would love for you to post some interesting Modfactor presets. I use the Modfactor more on guitar, primarily for chorus. But I also use it for flanger, phaser, and tremolo.

I play bass primarily, but I've played some guitar through it and it just kills. I definitely need an expression pedal for this guy, I know that will really open up the pedal, at least for me.

Whenever I get some good presets locked in, I'll be sure to share them. Any that you've found for bass that are particularly choice?

I don't have much in front of me right now, but here is some general guidance:

Chorus - I like the "shimmer" setting a lot, with the rate on the slow side and depth and intensity moderate; it adds a nice shimmer mostly to the highs, which is obviously nice for bass. The "organic" setting works really well too.

Phaser/flanger - I haven't locked in the best settings for these; the "positive" settings can get kind of boomy, and the "negative"/"through-zero" settings can sound kind of thin. I like long times (whole note or more w/ tap tempo) and fairly high intensity/depth settings.

Tremolo - I really like setting this to 1/8th or 1/16th note (w/ tap tempo) with square modulation source, intensity and edge cranked all the way up, for a choppy on-off tremolo. Feed it with something synth-y and/or fuzzy and you have a cool, driving, techno sound.

Undulator - I don't have any great settings but I've tweaked some of the factory presets. Just a lot of fun to play around with for ambient sounds.
