Alright so earlier today we get into discussing the Digital Delay and I mentioned this high pitch unbearable oscillation it does. Later on in the day I come up upon a article about old school analog delays and how they always had trimpots to adjust the delay time but also increased the "whine" of the feedback etc etc I said to myself hmmmm coincidence? Let me open this up when I get home see whats under the hood. Turns out NOPE no trimpots this is just how the delay sounds. So yeah this delay is no good for me.

I recorded a quick clip cause I don't think the severity of the issue is going to be as apparent as a sound clip will show. The normal bass level is actually a little low just so you guys can see the drastic volume increase. Anyways if wearing headphones be careful not to hurt yourselves lol

I do not have that exact pedal, but a Mooer Reecho, and I can achieve similar results with that when I turn the feedback high enough. It is called self-oscillation, I believe. No yeah thats my point. When it self oscillates the feedback is just ridiculous on it. Its a simple delay so one of the reasons i would get it is for that purpose and it just wont work for my needs.

Got my 5x7 photo paper. Probably gonna do a few up this weekend and podge my American. Still deciding what I want on it, but I'm pretty close. I'll probably print out a few and decide which will look best on the pedal.

Well, there's a couple of ways to do it.
Some of us sanded and stamped (with metal letter stamps from Harbor Freight).
Here's my UD:

And some of us sanded and applied graphics.
Here's my American Drive:

Actually they both do! Lol There is something very appealing to the stamped one since it gives it that Fairfield-esque vibe but I do like graphics as well.

Well, the stamped one is just that.
Sand off all the paint, stamp the letters/words of your choice.

Then, color in the stamped letters with a Sharpie, wipe off the excess and presto!

As far as the applied graphic...pm incoming.

I really like the look of an etched enclosure. JohnK's examples are really nice and tasteful. I'm seriously thinking of etching a few enclosures myself over the next few months.
