American has arrived. Probably won't get to test it out tonight though :/
Hope so, i really dig the British and UD, going to be fun figuring out what goes where.It's worth the wait
I received my Ultimate Drive today and will run it through it's paces later tomorrow. I mainly want to use it as a low gain to add to my SVT tone. I'm going to pick up a few pedals soon and may grab the American while I'm at it.
Bass 1 oclock, mids flat, hi 11 oclock
Level 4 oclock, voice 10 oclock, drive 9 oclock.
I'm running mine into a ART Studio MP to drive a Power Amp or powered wedge, as the American can't drive it properly on it's own with a clean tone (IMO - I know others here feel it can)
When you say Preamp - Do you mean purely a tone shaper or a Preamp than can drive a Power Amp or similar?
I'm not sure. I didn't think it could drive a power amp (its just an effects pedal... right?) but everyone kept calling it a preamp so I wasn't sure. I thought that it was just a toneshaper, I was just making sure it it wasnt something that could drive a power amp.
so i tried my hand at applying photopaper to my analog delay. turns out i totally suck at the whole "cutting paper" thing. Oh well. What kind of a mess am i looking at to remove this?

I´we jealously been reading the praise of various Joyo pedals and seeing the prices you operate with. Norway is pretty expensive and importing gear is even worse. But lo and behold, someone has done it for me! Found a shop over here with just about all the Joyo´s, at prices low enough to experiment. Just ordered the American. I´we got a VT Bass, but from the sound samples I think I´ll dig this even more
I´ll probably try out the compressor too. I want something transparent which gives me just that little bit of control of my peaks. Haven´t found much on it, does any of you have some input on it?

It's not really a low gain overdrive....it's called an Ultimate Drive, indicating it's a big ol' cruncher of a pedal and that it certainly is! It's great for what it does well, but it's not best suited for subtle and light. But if you want a full on "in your face" gnarly Overdrive, then this is your pedal.
Not a fan. It took 4 of them to get one that worked and it is not the best. Spend a little extra and get one that's decent that you can try first.Hi all!

Picked up my British Sound yesterday. Putting together a second board, with unused, 2nd hand, and cheap pedals to use at home, leave at rehearsal, or what ever.
So far I have a Seymour Duncan Double Back Comp (love this pedal), TU-2, American as my Grit/drive/dirt, British Sound as my clean tone shaper, Into a ART Studio MP to drive a Powered wedge. I want to pick up a cheap EQ pedal, but it probably won't be a Joyo because I want a gain cut/boost on it. Probably a Beh'r (gasp!) or Chord, Wouldn't mind a cheap Synth Wah like a Digitech or something.
Haven't decided if I like the British as a Clean tone shaper yet, Haven't managed to nail the tone I like, seemed to be able to get it almost immediately with the American. Need to play around with using the British as my Drive/Dirt into the American clean and decide what works the best. Any suggested settings for the British Sound running clean would be appreciated!

Here are my settings for the British clean, and the American dirty. With the American however I do run a clean and dirty channel to the board. So I really have no idea how it sounds at those settings without the clean signal there.
I'm running a squier vm jazz into a hartke lh1000 as my di to the board.
Sounds like you´ve been real unlucky. But I just want something slightly better than my Behringer DC9. I probably should just get the MXR M87, but there is just to much other stuff on my GAS-list to justify the cost. Especially the Norwegian cost
Thanks for this - I found your post not long after I had another goat dialling in a clean sound. We are pretty similar actually. I have a little less mids than you - mine is running at about 1 o'clock.
