Official Joyo Club Part 2: Beyond Thunderclone

Just received the Analog Chorus and the Dyna Comp :) Got all of five minutes with the Dyna before work this morning. Is it very subtle? Couldn´t really tell it was on, apart from Level and Sustain increasing volume. Attack did n´t change mush... But like I said, only got a few mins. And one of my cables kept cutting out on me.

I want to try to etch my Ultimate Drive pedal...not too keen on the 'ol nick currently on it. Does anyone have a printing template for this pedal? It's not a regular Hammond 1590B enclosure, it's a bit bigger than that. It's an interesting size and I'm wondeirng why this size isn't more common...there's more internal space and it feels like a nice size.

No template, when I did my American and a Crunch Distortion for a friend, I just made manual measurements then converted them to pixels.

I had this same problem with 3 of their comps. Wasn't a cable it was the pedal cutting in and out. Sent 2 back and threw the third out my back door. It's now a permanent resident of Old Hickory lake in TN...

I dumped mine after using it once. It seemed not to do much of anything, to be honest. Didn't add much in the way of sustain and I could barely tell it was working.

Very much so, yes. I've owned and had experience with many, many comps and know what I like and how they function (while also being able to separate the two). Admittedly, I tend to favor more "colorful" compression, but the application of parameters with the Joyo were almost non existent in my experience...at least in comparison to its Ross based brethren. The only noticeable thing my unit was capable of was engaging an LED. Perhaps I had I bunk unit?

Finally got some time with my new Joyo´s. Tried to get my MXR bass OD on there too... slightly optimistic :) The Dyna Comp (for now naked) seems to do the trick quite well. Subtle, quiet and transparent, but ads a presence? Don´t know how else to describe it. Tames my OD´s in some likable way. The Analog Corus (gave it a slight "road wear";-), very good. All I want from one, from next to nothing to crazy over the top. The Voodoo is a cool Fuzz, but looses lots of low end. I´m getting a Boss ls2 to try some blending. Could work well for that. The American is growing on me. Wasn't actually convinced at first, but I´m liking it more and more. Band rehearsal tomorrow. Can´t wait :)

Yeah. My first trials with it was on its own, but yesterday i played along to various tracks, and just about every time i stepped on it it just sounded good. Always on on heavier songs, chorus and solo-parts on mellower stuff. Sweet!

Haven´t tried anything but a crappy Behringer chorus before and got this one just for Alice in Chains; No excuses...:) That was the ONLY time I used my old one. I can actually see myself using this one quite a bit :thumbsup:

Love my Voodoo Octave but have never been able to find a use for the Octave Up setting. See you have it on. If you find a good setting while using the Octave Up let me know ;)

@Syxz_ML The lights are on for image purposes only :) I haven´t tried it with the band yet, will tomorrow, and it may work well there. I did mostly fiddle around with the octave up and the low end loss is definitely more significant then. I got interested in the pedal cause we are a tree piece, and I want to try a fuzzy octave up, when guitar is playing leads/solos. But whit this I think I need to blend in the clean bass as well. May work, may not. Fun to experiment when it
does n´t cost an arm and a leg :)
