Not quite, but i have the American run into my VT Bass, which isn´t to far of I think. I haven´t had mush time with it, and 1st time with the band is tonight. But I´we got the VT set to just break up when I dig in and the American to a medium-ish OD. Sounds awesome together! As long as i set both fairly flat. (Small mid boost on the VT works for me at home, but not on both)

I guess that about any sound card will do, actually, as long as you can adjust the level to achieve proper gain staging (making the signal powerful enough, but not clipping).

Pretty much everything on this page goes for bass, too, including recording from the end of the stompbox chain:

I once recorded using the headphone out from a Vox Amplug straight into the audio line in on my computer. Worked just fine (the headphone signal is pretty close to line level audio).

Went back to listen to it now. Yes, there is a bit of hiss. I don't know if that is the Amplug or the internal sound card of the laptop I was using at the time. It was to record the sound characteristic of the different pickups of a new guitar, so I guess you could use it to record pedal demos, too. The hiss may mask low level hiss from the pedal, but other than that, I think you can use such a recording to hear how a pedal performs.

I still recommend a good sound card with XLR and a DI box/amp with DI out, though.

Yesterdeay I was mesing around with my Joyo UD and I found a setting which could work as a clean boost. Today I'll carry the pedal to the rehearsal and I'll try paired with my MS60B, so I'll use the Zoom as a flanger unit and the Joyo as a booster for those parts when I need some extra volume.

If it works I won't buy a Mooer pure boost (for the moment)

I may turn in to a believer as well. Band rehearsal yesterday. First in a long time. Been without a place, but we just got access to a brand spanking new, brilliant, place. A second guitarist turned up, it got loud, I got partially drowned:banghead: New cab and earplugs on the way... But the Voodoo definitely work as a Fuzz! Very cool. Octave up, not without blend at least... And I think the American, Analog Chorus and Dyna Comp are definite keepers:thumbsup: New cab to arrive i January I´ll blast those f´in guitarists out of the room:bassist:

I found that with flats, the American could cop a geezer tone pretty damn well. Less so with rounds, but still in the ballpark. Haven't used the British.
